THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Why don't people just use the spell checker before posting ?

iturama - 15 Dec 2011 11:16 - 14090 of 81564

Since english appears to be a second language to many, and to make Exec happy, following is your first lesson in english writing (it is different to the spoken english).

is- third form of the word "to be"- as in "she is"
his -possessive pronoun - as in "that book is his"
there - adverb meaning in or at that place - as in "he is there"
their -another possessive pronoun - as in "that is their house".

Never too late to learn.

A very intelligent post (14087) Fred ,

I think your poodle is after a treat , give him a biscuit

Stan - 15 Dec 2011 11:22 - 14092 of 81564

Thinking? you? That would make a change.

aldwickk - 15 Dec 2011 11:35 - 14093 of 81564

Yes Stan, "Thinking " would make a change from " You ", they are both diffident word's .

Very smart of you to spot that, give him another biscuit Fred.

the uk is a human dumping zone being filled with scroungers who very often are involved in crime no wonder france want these people out asap and other coutries

if people want to come over and we have no choie they should be paid the eqivalent of their own country - these tourists would soon stop

ahoj - 15 Dec 2011 14:42 - 14103 of 81564

As long as Medvede needs a visa (3 days) to travel to Europe, the crisis can not be resolved.

I think some of the big Yanks are playing up with everything to prevent any progress. I wonder why!!

ExecLine - 15 Dec 2011 16:59 - 14104 of 81564

It sounds to me as though you are a very nice bloke, Tanker.

I've got you weighed up as 'not being too hot at academics' but having 'common sense by the bucket full' - and tons and tons of life experience too.

It was lovely to read about your gift to the underpriviledged family. I just hope they don't spend it down at the betting shop, or on booze and fags, or on some extra tattoos. But I'll put a 5 note down as a bet with myself and say that I'm sure you'll have sorted your mind out on that one before you even licked the envelope shut.

:-)

Just make a bit more of an effort with your spelling and grammar, though - and you'll make me happier, without it costing you any money at all.

Fred1new - 15 Dec 2011 18:26 - 14105 of 81564

Exec.

Don't worry he gave them 3 tips for the next Horse race meeting at Leicester.

They should be able to retire soon.
