It certainly does not mean a thing, Peter...down to 61.75p now.

skyhigh - 20 Dec 2006 14:12 - 1410 of 2511

Grim isn't it ! drifting down and down 40-50p on the cards!

cynic - 20 Dec 2006 14:43 - 1411 of 2511

don't disagree .... sold 1/3 of my holding a couple of days ago ..... nothing untoward; just general boredom and lack of confidence in E&Ps - qv GOO, CHP et al

skyhigh - 20 Dec 2006 15:15 - 1412 of 2511

going down, deeper and down

cynic - 20 Dec 2006 15:24 - 1413 of 2511

quite probably

hlyeo98 - 20 Dec 2006 19:45 - 1414 of 2511

Close at 59p today...nose-diving towards 50p

cynic - 20 Dec 2006 23:22 - 1415 of 2511

am now out though may buy back in new year ..... would not be surprised to see sp nearer 45

Peter123 - 21 Dec 2006 08:52 - 1416 of 2511

Well looking good today. Lets hope it stays there till the end of the day.

skyhigh - 21 Dec 2006 09:24 - 1417 of 2511

doubt it! never does ! but here's hoping....

Peter123 - 21 Dec 2006 09:31 - 1418 of 2511

If this holds then there will be a turnaround.

silvermede - 29 Dec 2006 13:23 - 1419 of 2511

Anyone attend the AGM today????? grateful for any feedback.

cynic - 29 Dec 2006 13:58 - 1420 of 2511

i followed VOG for quite a while ...... made a lot but almost certainly lost even more when sp collapsed ...... am currently out but continue to watch ...... suspect AGM had nothing much to say for though there was a modest rise in sp, volume was almost non-existent at 62k ...... from memory, no production or drilling news is expected for another 4/6/8 weeks, but perhaps someone less lazy than i will be a bit more accurate on the timing.

silvermede - 29 Dec 2006 14:17 - 1421 of 2511

Thanks cynic, have a Happy New Year when it comes!

xxxheroxx - 31 Dec 2006 20:26 - 1422 of 2511

I attended the AGM and made several notes. I have posted this information on another blogg which I regularly read.
Happy reading!!

To start with all resolutions were passed as shown in the RNS these were the ones listed which are on VOG's website.

To start the meeting Kevin apologised that the meeting was held today as its threw the holiday period however he went on to say that there was a good reason for it being held on today's date.

He went on to read 2 emails which he received from William Kelleher who was not present at the AGM as he was in Siberia which relate to an Update from well 103.

One of the emails he received was from Christmas day and the other was one that he received this morning.

The email from Xmas day mentioned that weather problems caused a delay in well testing as it was -45 degrees, as well as this Police had closed iced roads.

He then went on to say that the well was 100% rigged up and that they were expecting first flow results by Wednesday afternoon at the earliest.

The email sent this morning mentioned that the weather was currently -30 degrees. It also stated that they had been getting it ready to detonate the TCP's (Dont ask me what TCP's are as I dont know - I would say some sort of controlled explosive device) It then mentioned that there was approximately 550 meters more to go in the well in order to have it set up to detonate the TCP's.

He said that this will be hopefully taking place tomorrow where they should get results next week. He specified a time period of 72 hours where they will then have the first flow results. (My interpretation is probably late Wednesday or Thursday morning there will be some sort of an RNS with first flow results)

Kevin Foo stated that the well is going to be tested imminently (he mentioned the fact that he has used this word before and said testing may take place as early as today or tomorrow.

Following this he went on and discussed Well 105 - 4 way closure and said that with this well they will have 4-5 target zones which they should start drilling early next year.

In relation to selling oil and gas he said that it would probably sell at approximately $24 per mcf from the well head. Further to this he stated that should they deliver the market themselves and sell it to an independent buyer they will probably get $75 per mcf.

Should they deliver to the market the costs are likely to be an additional $25 per mcf.

He explained that should gas be used converted to electricity they would be looking at a figure at approximately 6 times $24 per mcf

In relation to new aquisitions Kevin Foo stated that they were looking for 2 or more projects in the first quarter or at the latest first half of the year. (Something to look forward to)

That sums up what I have in my notes, I have tried to be as accurate as I can with the information I have provided.

Further to what I have put I had an informal chat with Kevin Foo in relation to well 105 and he stated that this well can be a company maker for VOG. He said the odds were something like 29.9% chance of being commercial and that this is the highest percentage chance for any well which has not been drilled. (So it sounds quite promising).

He seemed pretty confident that gas will come up from well 103 and didnt seem to have any concerns. (Just a case of for how long) (IMHO I think he just does not want to give any false hopes and they want to deliver some results)

I stated to him that initially before drilling the odds of being commercial was 20 something percent chance and if that would have changed and gone in our favour as a result of the stage we are at with the well. On the balance of probability he said it was about 50/50 chance that it would be commercial.

Yea sorry forgot to mention that. It was stated that there main focus was on West Med however they will be using some of the funds that they have for Kermekol.

Also in relation to funding it was said that the bonds they have are enough to cover Well 105 probably until mid next year however he was confident to say that they had another I think 20 million from ING which will give them enough money to see them through '2007' to '2008'

It was mentioned that there is also the possibility of funding from producing wells at a later stage.

Mr Foo also announced that he wanted to buy more shares. However he said he cant purchase them as the results for 103 are due soon.

Hopefully this will give holders some confidence.

Over and out..

cynic - 31 Dec 2006 20:58 - 1423 of 2511

thanks for that very informative post .... the key of course is that there is no better than a 3:1 chance that even 105 will prove commercially viable .... that said, it is no better or worse than any other test drilling ..... you now takes your chances ..... if 105 comes up with the goodies, then watch the shares fly; if yet another dud, then perhaps 20p is on the cards.

silvermede - 02 Jan 2007 09:31 - 1424 of 2511

xxxheroxx, Thanks for AGM Post, much appreciated.

HARRYCAT - 02 Jan 2007 18:59 - 1425 of 2511

Likewise, xxx. Good info. Hope to return the compliment one day.

fliper - 03 Jan 2007 14:00 - 1426 of 2511

The graph reminds me of the seo graph . were is the sp heading ?

cynic - 03 Jan 2007 14:21 - 1427 of 2511

almost certainly down, though more likely through inertia and boredom through lack of news rather than anything else ..... next drillingn ews due in 4/6 weeks from memory.

jshearman94 - 08 Jan 2007 06:56 - 1428 of 2511

the chart is as bad as ever, we need news and fast.
