Tiffanys was her choice (although she is younger than me), and as I thought that my choice of Steve McQueen in Le Mans might not create exactly the right atmosphere, I ended up watching Notting Hill, 4 weddings & a funeral, and a load of other similar stuff, which I can't remember!

J Stratford-re- creating mental pictures, it's just one of those things I do in order to try and remember new faces and names. Nothing quite like a film to create the required ambiance.

I am thinking of putting myself in for Masterchef, after the triumph of making egg and cress sandwiches last week, today I managed to make myself some sardines on toast.

And I didnt have any help.....

BlueLady, no need for a mental pic of me, here's me on my last holiday.

Spacie, Could have done with your culinary expertise, I managed the first evening cooking a vegetarien meal, but by the second I was a bit stuck... what really annoys though is when they turn round and say "...it's very nice but pasta and tomatoe ketchup would have done" Still I always say that the meal comes second to the wine, and the candles, oh and the music, and the companies got to be good too.

Re: Trees. Can I point out that hugging trees is not in my experience very rewarding, and remember this is a lad who grew up in the country talking here!

Bluey, have to say that I do tend to listen to my parents advice, particularily now - don't always agree, but most of the time respect.

Having said that, you may know advice (from anyone) to be good, and you may know that you should follow that advice, but you also know that you're not going to. Part of the fun of life...

Just seen your post about eBay from before Easter as I was away last week.

It's obviously too late now but, imo, the best thing to have done would have been to state your Buy it Now price to the bidder and tell them that they need to pay you via PayPal by x date at which point you will end the listing early. Ebay advise against this approach because they won't get their Final Value Fee, but I wouldn't worry about that. When you end a listing early, be sure to state that it's because the item is no longer available and don't say that it's to sell to a bidder at the current price, otherwise you'll still have to pay the Final Value Fee. You will still have to pay the Listing Fee nonetheless.
