With just over 31 months to go till end of 2020, that 1GW looks impossible. I hope that this now pie in the sky looking target is questioned at the AGM (as I am sure it will) along with someone pointing out that a QNL should come out every quarter and not a quarter and a week or two.
This company is looking more and more like a typical AIM company, full of big promises, lots of fund raising accompanied by treating shareholders like mushrooms.
Updates are required on just about everything promised, but not delivered.
As the QNL has not been released pre AGM and that as nothing sp sensitive can be released at the AGM the sp is looking likely to close today sub 10p (a phycological line) and if it does without news tomorrow it could end up in free fall.
I have quite a lot of money ridding this share, but not a life altering amount as some people must have. So as annoyed and fed up as I am with lack of news/action there must be many out there far more concerned than myself.
As Mulder and Scully say. 'The truth is out there', pity it's not shared.

Half way through the year and now they have completely stopped feeding us mushrooms altogether. Is that a good thing, who really knows!

Yes, interesting that the quarterly news letter from the company has ceased, though AGM might have replaced it. If so, July 2018 will be the next.
AGM april 2019, so only 10 months to go, when they have to make some kind of comment!

Hi Harrycat,
Didn't they say at the last AGM that the quarterly updates would finish, if so I took that to mean, no more quarterly news letters.
Could have been dreaming though! Anyone confirm.

The new Chairman chappie i think said it was ending , so we have to wait for something worthwhile happening i suppose , i think he also criticised previous news for not being well sort of honest so to speak , so why is Bond still there maybe , any way i only think this coz i can't be arsed to read up , bit like the Company eh .

Just noticed on another site ,Power Up , AFC Energy and partners worked towards the demonstration of an alkaline fuel cell ( AFC ) system at Air Products industrial gas plant at Stade lower Saxony . That's a 500 Kwe . Obviously of no interest to shareholders as they haven't told us .

I also saw that on another site.
Although a sp moving item that should by the rules result in a RNS obviously they feel that we are not important enough to be informed.
I bet the big players are aware of this.
Presumably the AFC board have put us small players on ignore.

Anyone know where the separate AFC Forum went to. I signed up years ago but haven't posted for a long time and on just visiting found the last post months ago. Has it moved.
As to the RNS contract, not that important by itself due to it's size, but if this strings a few more together, the contract ball that has been well and truly stuck will finally start rolling.

This company was formed to recycle waste oil in 2001 and opened the refinery in Queensland in 2014, so it looks like a very forward, fast moving company.

AFC Energy Receives First Commercial Hydrogen Power Generation Order in Australia from Southern Oil Refining
AFC Energy (AIM: AFC), the industrial fuel cell power company, is pleased to confirm receipt of its first commercial order in Australia for its proprietary hydrogen power generation unit from refiner, Southern Oil Refining Pty Ltd ("Southern Oil").
Highlights
· Southern Oil, through its wholly owned subsidiary Northern Oil Pty Ltd ("Northern Oil"), has placed an order for the first AFC Energy hydrogen power generation unit in Australia;
· The hydrogen power generation unit, expected to be sized between 200kW and 400kW, subject to engineering, will be located at Northern Oil's world leading Advanced Biofuels Refinery near Gladstone, Australia;
· Non-refundable deposit to be paid to AFC Energy within five business days of the offer;
· Brief period of engineering now commencing to finalise final project sizing, scope and commensurate contract terms;
· AFC Energy plans to sell the balance of plant for its hydrogen generation unit to Southern Oil and lease the system's stack and electrodes for an undisclosed sum reflective of the project's capital cost (incl. fuel cells);
· Northern Oil to utilise surplus hydrogen from its Gladstone refinery in the process and consume all power produced within its facilities at a cost better than its existing grid power tariff;
· Project to be delivered in the first half of 2019.
