THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

There has been talk of a state funeral for Maggie Thatcher.

Haystack - 22 Dec 2011 14:22 - 14218 of 81564

What is Gordon doing these days?

Fred1new - 22 Dec 2011 14:35 - 14219 of 81564

Watching, juvenile delinquents ruin the country., with their friends keeping their noses in the pig troughs

Have a good XMAS or equivalent ritual.

skinny - 22 Dec 2011 14:36 - 14220 of 81564

Slightly bad taste - they should at least wait until she is dead!

Haystack - 22 Dec 2011 15:02 - 14221 of 81564

I was in the bath and I heard a discussion on R4. One view was it would be divisive as a few people didn't like her, although I find that hard to believe. But then Churchill had a state funeral and he was hated by quite a few people. The program did point out that her greatest acheivement was changing the Labour party into one that believed in the free market economy. I am not sure I would go that far. It is evident that Ed Millipeed is heading to the left, which is fine by me as it makes Labour even more unelectable.

aldwickk - 22 Dec 2011 15:11 - 14222 of 81564

So Thatcher is responsible for New Labour , if it wasn't for her there would be no 13 year's of Blair and Brown , does Fred know.

Fred1new - 22 Dec 2011 17:31 - 14224 of 81564

I would think a good place to bury the "lady" would be under a slag heap in Durham.

=======================

Don't worry, Ed or Dave won't go too far to the left. Just a little financial regulation and tightening of the screws on oversea tax evasion should be enough.

=========

That is if Cameron and Porky haven't left behind a Banana republic.

=======

New Labour, was as corny as UKIP and I would like to see Blair in the Court of International Justice at Hague.

But, I believe there were many tory right wingers and UKIP supporters on this BB. who were whooping for joy at the beginning of Bush's and Blair's Iraqi adventure

Hello Profit Takers,

Also on holiday, but not in India thankfully -):

"There has been talk of a state funeral for Thatcher." Really?.. Didn't know it was dead.

Hey! Have a look at several pictures of these rare 'lenticular' clouds which were seen in the sky over Holmfirth, near Huddersfield, West Yorks.

Fred1new - 22 Dec 2011 19:55 - 14227 of 81564

Rubbish!

You can't kid me.

They are flying saucers.

TANKER - 23 Dec 2011 08:09 - 14230 of 81564

It is a mysterious ball that looks like a prop from a science fiction film - and nobody can explain where it came from.

Police have been left baffled after a strange metal sphere fell to the ground in a remote area of northern Namibia, Africa.

It weighs around 13lbs, has a diameter of 14 inches and its rough surface looks like ‘two halves welded together’, said police forensics director Paul Ludik.
