Great news, derampers quite?

cynic - 21 Apr 2008 08:35 - 1423 of 2087

i'll happily hold my hand up, though i would not describe either myself or BigAl as derampers, but merely purveyors of common sense, even if it upsets the purblind ......

all those guys who have hung onto these shares through thick and thin must now be heaving a huge sigh of relief, though there must still be many who remain well (sorry about that!) out of pocket ...... as is often said, "Even a blind pig will find an acorn sometimes", but whether EME will actually turn into an oak tree is far from proven

niceonecyril - 21 Apr 2008 08:36 - 1424 of 2087

UP almost 300% in such a short time, hope you all took my advice and had a dabble on FEP?
cyril

cynic - 21 Apr 2008 09:00 - 1425 of 2087

i only ever buy losers!

it happens that both EME and FEP are far too small for me, not least because CFDs demand a minimum cap of 10m ..... in fact, the strong caveat still remains, that these minnows are seriously illiquid .... fine if you only want/have 200/500 invested, but often anything over say 1000 becomes almost untradeable, especially if you want to cash in.

niceonecyril - 21 Apr 2008 09:38 - 1426 of 2087

I don't consider myself able enough to trade CDF'S, so i buy by nominnee or
if i am thinking long term, certification.

ps tried SB, ok in a bull market, but i found to my cost it can turn nasty at the drop of a hat.

scotinvestor - 23 Apr 2008 17:13 - 1429 of 2087

cynic

why do u assume so much.....you assume most people out of pocket but even if someone bought a few months ago at say 20 or 30p, they still at least doubled money.

ok, this may have been a long shot but well done to everyone that bought this one recently.

sadly i never bought but its good to see success for others

cynic - 23 Apr 2008 17:35 - 1430 of 2087

woaded one .... not sure to which post of mine you refer ...... however, (m)any long(ish) term holders are likely to be nursing significant losses despite the recent rise (and subsequent tick south)

niceonecyril - 25 Apr 2008 17:43 - 1431 of 2087

Back up to 60p, not sure what it takes for peeps to understand this is just the beginning? Kennady close to fraccing according to AUT and if that turns up trumps?
Stange quite from some, since such posts as 1399 and 1402.

nite ram - 26 Apr 2008 01:16 - 1432 of 2087

Yep back to 60p and you are right, it's just the beginning imo
Positive RNS in the next 2 weeks and this could be $2 +

tcdmct1963 - 30 Apr 2008 23:07 - 1433 of 2087

50/50 as to whether this is successful, if so we are in for a real whoosh and
if not will give a great opportunity to top up?
imho

for how long do you think crude will keep rising and to what level?
keep that very much in mind, for when a correction comes, as it assuredly will, it will be sharp and very sudden

Falcothou - 20 May 2008 20:37 - 1439 of 2087

Goldman sachs bullish tones seemed to reverse last week's correction on higher than expected US gas inventories, not that the market is being manipulated or anything

niceonecyril - 20 May 2008 21:32 - 1440 of 2087

Somehow i don't think this SP is production driven?
cyril

niceonecyril - 23 May 2008 23:29 - 1441 of 2087

Quite a sharp rise end of day, could it be that news is leaking or perhaps traders not wanting to miss out on the expected Kennnady Well-1 result?
