Various Land Rovers ranging from the 1950's through to my beloved 1985 V8 90 (Sad I know)
Jaguar XJS V12 (awaiting serious rebuild work!)
Toyota Corolla GT Coupe Holomogation unit
Westfield 1800

Sorry nothing fancy, in process of trying to find a 1978 pontic transam and a 60's Mustang Fastback, but both have to be manual's

stockbunny - 11 Apr 2007 10:59 - 14260 of 24230

Boys 'n' toys gentlemen...boys 'n' toys ;>)

Spaceman - 11 Apr 2007 11:01 - 14261 of 24230

JS, That sounds like a fun stable.

Is the 85 V8 an original build or a conversion of some sort? (army)

Spaceman - 11 Apr 2007 11:02 - 14262 of 24230

stockbunny - 11 Apr 2007 11:08 - 14263 of 24230

Spacie - you worry me at times ;>)
OK buffet style cold meats, cheeses and salad for lunch - ready from 11.30 - help yourselves and wash your plates up ;>)

Bluelady - 11 Apr 2007 11:09 - 14264 of 24230

Hi Spaceman, How do you do the photos? It seemed so easy using the top far right button except it comes up as blank when previewed and when posted. Is the ability to download photo images only allowed for those posters with more than two cars?

Or an upgrade in MAM services?

JStratford - 11 Apr 2007 11:12 - 14265 of 24230

Spacie, the V8 started out as a basic 2.3 straight 4. I bought it when I was 15 and have been 'improving' her continuously. The 3.5 V8 went in a couple of years back, and then last year I did some large modifications to the whole vehicle to improve power and economy. So she's definitely a hybrid with more extras planned as time allows!

Bunny, yeah I know it's sad, but believe me, they can't talk back and they're always ready to play. I only have to go and turn the key in the V8 and it puts a huge smile on my face or alternatively get the GT held in a nice drift (obviously not on public roads) to make me feel alive. Believe me, when asked which was more important, her or the cars, it took a lot of effort to say the right thing!

Mug of tea anyone?

stockbunny - 11 Apr 2007 11:14 - 14266 of 24230

Well I can understand that JS - I remember having the same problem myself except the 'other party' wasn't cars in my case but my moggies ;>)

mg - 11 Apr 2007 11:22 - 14267 of 24230

Now I know why Uma is still with spacenick - I used to have a 944 - penis red with gold wheels - very tasteful - and perfect for the trade I used to be in. Unfortunately, tried to add a Ford Fiesta to the front, but it didn't fit, so it is available for spares if you're interested superspacestud. I'll accept swaps - especially if Uma is available.

Haven't had a reply from the MoneyAM management, MP or that bloke who writes about stuff in the Sunday Mail.

Will write another email to the Prime Minister, President of the USA and Director General of the UN if I don't hear back in the next 30 minutes.

JStratford - 11 Apr 2007 11:31 - 14268 of 24230

Bunny, you see it all makes sense somehow!!! Although what doesn't make sense is how a family of rabbits can live with cats, unless you've got a Peter Rabbit type understanding going on?!

jeffmack - 11 Apr 2007 11:33 - 14269 of 24230

You lot spend far too much time in the coffee house, get a job.

Then you can get paid and use your company computer to spend time in the coffee house

Spaceman - 11 Apr 2007 11:51 - 14270 of 24230

BlueLady posting pics is available to all, it is the right hand button but the picture must be hosted somewhere with public access, so it cant be on your PC for example.

JS, does it twist a bit with all that power.

mgbgt, that fiesta graft sounds familiar, I hit a rust bucket in my 944 when the rust bucket stopped suddenly and I didnt, the 944S (note the S!) was not harmed much but the rust bucket fell apart and was written off by his insurance company. He then tried to get me to buy him a new car, he didnt get far with that though!

By the way the colour of your car isnt familiar 'penis red with gold wheels' was it a special pimps edition? I hope it had dark tints as well.

I suggest that you address your complaint to someone with a bit of influence like Rupert Murdock, writing to washed up has-beens like the PM or the President of the US is just a waste of time.

Is my grammar OK? of is that the subject of another thread? I dont want the grammar police in the cafe, we already have enough trouble with the health and safety people and the VAT man.

Bluelady - 11 Apr 2007 11:55 - 14271 of 24230

Hi Spaceman,

All the help threads I saw was in the upgraded MAM. The image I am posting is in the public domain. I click on the top far right link and then do what it tells me ie insert script prompt and enter URL of image but still comes up with a blank!!!

Please do a step by step of the process when you find time, thanking you in advance kind sir.

stockbunny - 11 Apr 2007 11:57 - 14272 of 24230

Ah both moggies and bunnies live in harmony here after all the former knows who feeds them and that helps ;>)
Yes I thought the colour of mg's car sounded a bit odd - I thought a description like that meant an imminent trip to the quack! ;>)

Spaceman - 11 Apr 2007 12:05 - 14273 of 24230

Bluelady, you need the full URL including the name of the picture file, the link you posted only has the site URL.

It should be something like:

http://www.bonthronebikes.co.uk/picture.jpg

Your one is just:
http://www.bonthronebikes.co.uk/

does that help?

Bluelady - 11 Apr 2007 12:10 - 14274 of 24230

Hi Spaceman,

I still have to do some major (for me) brain work as my computer understanding is slowly coming up to the same speed as an 8 year old!!! Incidentally, that bike is my eco friendly transport!!!!

Many thanks, Bluelady X

JStratford - 11 Apr 2007 12:11 - 14275 of 24230

Jeff, work? Work for someone else? No thanks, have a terrible tendency to tell bosses what I think of them!

Spacie, to say it twists a bit is an understatement. It feels worse than being on the boat, hence the need for more improvements!

Bunny, as long as the moggies don't decide that they aren't getting fed enough ;-)

Spaceman - 11 Apr 2007 12:12 - 14276 of 24230

I have one of these:

However it is suffering from lack of use... I think I will get it out at the weekend.

I am thinking of Cheese on Toast for lunch today, that should complete my Masterchef portfolio, a dish for every occasion, Egg and Cress sandwiches, Sardines on toast and Cheese on toast.

Bluelady - 11 Apr 2007 12:13 - 14277 of 24230

Hi Spaceman,

:0)

Spaceman - 11 Apr 2007 12:15 - 14278 of 24230

Not forgetting Haddock Fish Fingers (with white bread and Tomato Ketchup) for those very special occasions such as anniversaries or birthdays.

JS I think your lady would be impressed with this meal?
