VOG is presently drilling Well 104 in its West Medvezhye field,and expected to reach depth in 4 weeks from spud date of 30th June, that makes 27th July(this week).
Results of testing will be sometime mid/late August, with a positive outcome
it could be HUGH.
With estimates of 134BILLION cubic metres of GAS and 201 Million barrels of Gas
Condensate,it will be a Company Maker. The field is in the area of the largest gas field in the WORLD.
Other assets include Kemerkol in Kazakhstan, with C1 reserves of 8.7MBO
and C2 reserves of7.8MBO. Another acquistion is Tamdykol with potental
reserves of 34MBO, it also has interest in 2 blocks in the North Sea.

It has excellent management team led by Kevin Foo, who hopes to turn it into
a Mid Cap Company(�500m+) in the not to distant future.

almost certainly down, though more likely through inertia and boredom through lack of news rather than anything else ..... next drillingn ews due in 4/6 weeks from memory.

the chart is as bad as ever, we need news and fast.

VOG will not issue news just to keep shareholders happy ..... no news due for a further few weeks yet ..... meanwhile, sp has no cause to rise and if news, when it eventually comes, is not clearly positive, then sp is likely to dive

from a chart point of view, there was good support at 68/70, but that looks to be firmly broken ...... next decent suppport is at 40p

my view is that it is now a race ...... will sp slump to 40p before any announcement, in which case could be worth a decent punt ..... or will the announcement come first, in which case 40p may well be irrelevant, either because sp will rocket or dive headfirst into the abyss

if the new test drilling started say 1/12, then no news to be expected until at least 1/3 or even 1-2 months later

Sounds like good news but I have a bad habit of mis-interpreting rns and resultant sp reaction of late, glad to still be holding though despite the recent collapse

certainly sp has shot up 6p .... not quite sure how significant a find that is, but clearly better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! ...... unfortuantely IG have hit their internal holding limit so at mo cannot buy .... never mind; plenty more fish in the sea

for myself, having made some decent splosh elsewhere in the last couple of weeks, am happy to have a flutter and re-enter, if IG will give green light!

I've got IG as well. irritating that VOG has been practically untradeable with them for months. The spread's wide enough to drive a bus thro' at the mo. I suspect every man and his dog is already long VOG, hence closing deals only.

2.25p spread is not untoward for such a stock ..... in fact, managed to buy 10k at 61.5p this morning (willing seller; willing buyer), and hope that will not prove foolhardy ...... certainly not a significant exposure, but have no wish for it to be!

Many reservoirs have water content - thats why production platforms have seperation plants installed as norm - it only becomes a commercial problem when the water ratio is more than the hydrocarbon content or it freezes in the production process. The latter is usually controlled by glycol injection.

Investors are still looking cautious on VOG. So far we do not know how much water ratio there is.

vog seems to get hammered daily. surely the last drilling update was encouraging. what does 350bpd condensate work out in bopd equivalent?.
