fliper - 11 Jan 2007 09:06 - 1432 of 2511

Yes , we are right , its going down , next stop 40p

cynic - 11 Jan 2007 11:56 - 1433 of 2511

just a short aide memoire ...... extract from a fairly optimistic (bullish) rns of 12/10

"On the basis of these results, casing will be set to a depth of 3,880 metres and
mobilisation will begin for testing to determine reservoir productivity,
characteristics and reserve volume size. This testing will take place for a
minimum period of 90 to 120 days and the Company anticipates commencement before the end of the year."

if the new test drilling started say 1/12, then no news to be expected until at least 1/3 or even 1-2 months later

seawallwalker - 15 Jan 2007 07:26 - 1434 of 2511

VOG have issued an RNS this morning!

Wake up you lot.

Falcothou - 15 Jan 2007 07:51 - 1435 of 2511

Sounds like good news but I have a bad habit of mis-interpreting rns and resultant sp reaction of late, glad to still be holding though despite the recent collapse

bonfield - 15 Jan 2007 08:04 - 1436 of 2511

blimey, you mean they actually found some oil!

cynic - 15 Jan 2007 08:11 - 1437 of 2511

certainly sp has shot up 6p .... not quite sure how significant a find that is, but clearly better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! ...... unfortuantely IG have hit their internal holding limit so at mo cannot buy .... never mind; plenty more fish in the sea

seawallwalker - 15 Jan 2007 08:28 - 1438 of 2511

cynic - to clarify this is an existing find, flow tested.

Constricted by weather I think, so I have a feeling there is more to come.

Could be wrong and reading too much into it however.

bonfield - 15 Jan 2007 08:29 - 1439 of 2511

not sure if finding oil mixed with water is a bad sign or not, but I can't resist a punt at these levels. 57p is where I got in the first time around and they went to 100 without blinking....halcyon days!

should be a heavy volume day today..

cynic - 15 Jan 2007 08:35 - 1440 of 2511

for myself, having made some decent splosh elsewhere in the last couple of weeks, am happy to have a flutter and re-enter, if IG will give green light!

bonfield - 15 Jan 2007 13:11 - 1441 of 2511

I've got IG as well. irritating that VOG has been practically untradeable with them for months. The spread's wide enough to drive a bus thro' at the mo. I suspect every man and his dog is already long VOG, hence closing deals only.

cynic - 15 Jan 2007 13:37 - 1442 of 2511

2.25p spread is not untoward for such a stock ..... in fact, managed to buy 10k at 61.5p this morning (willing seller; willing buyer), and hope that will not prove foolhardy ...... certainly not a significant exposure, but have no wish for it to be!

wayne300808 - 15 Jan 2007 15:30 - 1443 of 2511

Many reservoirs have water content - thats why production platforms have seperation plants installed as norm - it only becomes a commercial problem when the water ratio is more than the hydrocarbon content or it freezes in the production process. The latter is usually controlled by glycol injection.

Investors are still looking cautious on VOG. So far we do not know how much water ratio there is.

lizard - 19 Jan 2007 14:20 - 1445 of 2511

vog seems to get hammered daily. surely the last drilling update was encouraging. what does 350bpd condensate work out in bopd equivalent?.

skyhigh - 19 Jan 2007 15:44 - 1446 of 2511

Grim isn't it ?
Update was too little and too late.
40p on the way! (imo)

skyhigh - 19 Jan 2007 15:44 - 1447 of 2511

then it's 20p

fliper - 19 Jan 2007 16:19 - 1448 of 2511

SEO chart ?

cynic - 19 Jan 2007 16:22 - 1449 of 2511

hope it's not that bad! ....... can't believe VOG are sitting on nothing worthwhile, though along with everyone else, sure as hell wish they would find and annnounce it!!

700202 - 19 Jan 2007 16:50 - 1450 of 2511

i had vog in nov 05 @ circa 80/95p when they had BIG find of gas/oil and sold at 180p-220p in jan/feb 06 what has happened to this find ?? as i bought back in i am holding 20k @85p this is below my original price before the BIG find
i was "well "pleased [excuse the pun] just seems the previous find has "evaporated " [i know] and got forgotten about

lizard - 19 Jan 2007 21:40 - 1451 of 2511

what big find in 06?. it was unjustified hype that took them to 265p. now reality is in place but possibly cheap at current levels after recent testing update.
