Quite a sharp rise end of day, could it be that news is leaking or perhaps traders not wanting to miss out on the expected Kennnady Well-1 result?

Now could this be the reason why(SP rise)?

From the ADI site.
The cuurent opperation is preparing to set a packer and production tubing, which will facilitate efficient flow from the well.
Lets hope this is as positive as it sounds?

Mr Turbot - 25 May 2008 19:24 - 1444 of 2087

Thanks for the update Cyril.

Have held since 2006 and still someway off my original purchase price. Looking better if the news is as positive as you suggest. Will watch with interest. Good recovery in recent weeks.

Encouraging if early days, %age of condensate increase quite dramtically if from
small levels. It should be remembered that we have an 18% interest in this well,so
a nice little tick up seems likely?

transco15 - 28 May 2008 10:00 - 1452 of 2087

Cyril,

You do know how to pick em - congrats!!!

niceonecyril - 28 May 2008 17:48 - 1453 of 2087

Transco, thanks i feel this is just beginning to realise its potential and the risk
significantly reduced. It should be rememberd that although only a small partner(something which seemed to be lost on some) their is a total of 16 wells each having 3 zones, so could be up to 48 producing levels?
So i feel this still has a whole lot going for it and expect very good returns in the
not to distant future.

COP to drill a 2nd Baker well along side Baker1, as their was a problem with the first, it gives the impression that they are happy with what they found and will
use the knowledge gained from B1, and apply to this latest well.

So little interest on what imho is excellent news, institutions are happy to buy in at a time when fund raising is more than difficult? And after the initial drop the
market took to the news positively.

Taken from today's IC online

Here, executive director Tom Kelly answers questions submitted by Investors Chronicle readers, ahead of the company's annual meeting in London next week.
......................................................

The share price has been very volatile, and despite the recent gains, it's still well off previous highs. How confident are you that we are ending 'famine' and entering 'feast'?

Empyrean is now part of a major discovery in onshore USA and the early results from this project should give everyone confidence. This is the second project that Empyrean has brought into production in just under three years since floating on Aim. Some projects take more than 10 years from conception before a first well is drilled. Empyrean has a tight committed team dedicated to continuing the momentum that exploration success brings. At Sugarloaf Block B alone there is the possibility of at least another 34 wells to be drilled to develop the acreage. If these wells are brought successfully into production with anything like the initial flow rates from the first Block A-1 and A-3 wells then it will likely be a worthy "feast". If we have additional exploration success from our other projects then it has the possibility of being described more as a "smorgasbord". Empyrean is in the strongest position it has ever been in during its short history.
