cynic - 19 Jan 2007 16:22 - 1449 of 2511

hope it's not that bad! ....... can't believe VOG are sitting on nothing worthwhile, though along with everyone else, sure as hell wish they would find and annnounce it!!

700202 - 19 Jan 2007 16:50 - 1450 of 2511

i had vog in nov 05 @ circa 80/95p when they had BIG find of gas/oil and sold at 180p-220p in jan/feb 06 what has happened to this find ?? as i bought back in i am holding 20k @85p this is below my original price before the BIG find
i was "well "pleased [excuse the pun] just seems the previous find has "evaporated " [i know] and got forgotten about

lizard - 19 Jan 2007 21:40 - 1451 of 2511

what big find in 06?. it was unjustified hype that took them to 265p. now reality is in place but possibly cheap at current levels after recent testing update.

700202 - 21 Jan 2007 20:14 - 1452 of 2511

LIZARD on the 16th november 2005 gas find confirmed of 1/2 trillion cu ft gas which i would think is BIG, look at the news on RNS
as far as i am aware it is still there in west medvezhye the current drilling is a bonus to the above

please correct me if i am wrong

lizard - 22 Jan 2007 08:12 - 1454 of 2511

cheers 700202- dont hold but thought they were drilling to determine reserves at the moment?. perhaps past figures were just speculative estimates now they can put a clearer figure on it. which has recently resulted in disappointment on overestimating hence sp. but last testing figures looked encouraging but still no proof of reserves?.

cynic - 22 Jan 2007 08:46 - 1455 of 2511

i think that the major prob is that though VOG have seemingly confirmed reserves (one of the "experts" can explain the exact meaning of the difference of the various categories of reserves), VOG are not actually getting it out the ground ..... and that of course is what would make the sp fly.

meanwhile, though we have the latest drilling indication from Well 103, there is not yet proof .of wxactly what is down the hole ..... last RNS suggested the definitive(we hope!) report will not be out until March or even April

lizard - 22 Jan 2007 09:05 - 1456 of 2511

cynic- i had thought testing would take 90 to 120 days to reach its conclusion. are we not now in the last 30day cycle of testing. so in that case results should be known in feb?.

cynic - 22 Jan 2007 09:08 - 1457 of 2511

if you go back to the original RNS in late october, i think it said drilling would start before end 2006, and that the final report would be 90/120 days thereafter ..... it follows that to expect that report during feb would be pretty optimistic

lizard - 22 Jan 2007 09:13 - 1458 of 2511

refering to rns 12th oct 06. states 90 -120days.

'anticipates commencement before the year end'. so when it started?.

the first ideas on testing released recently were around 90 days from 12/10/06. so perhaps further advanced.

cynic - 22 Jan 2007 09:35 - 1459 of 2511

we shall see ..... you know how overexcited all the the lemmings get, so a little dampening would do no harm .... lol!

fliper - 22 Jan 2007 15:53 - 1460 of 2511

Still falling , mid 40s could be a turning point , or will it go lower ?

skyhigh - 22 Jan 2007 16:06 - 1461 of 2511

the way it's going...it's gotta be lower ! :(

hlyeo98 - 22 Jan 2007 18:15 - 1462 of 2511

It is all up to Kevin Foo to give us some good news.

700202 - 22 Jan 2007 20:42 - 1463 of 2511

hlyeo i think they have loads in the bag and think the market makers are having a great time

bingobingham - 23 Jan 2007 08:29 - 1464 of 2511

I could without this going lower. it's hurting my wealth. Bought at an average of 200!

hlyeo98 - 23 Jan 2007 08:47 - 1465 of 2511

Stop-loss would have help, bingobingham

cynic - 23 Jan 2007 09:16 - 1466 of 2511

bingo .... i think on balance you should prob hang on, though i am not manager of your pain threshhold ..... i suspect VOG will come in with a decent result in the fullness of time, but then i only bought in (again) at 61 and modestly at that

maggiebt4 - 23 Jan 2007 10:06 - 1467 of 2511

Bingo... I think you should hang on to if only to keep me company I bought in at 180 and not so modestly
