Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Kayak - 28 Apr 2007 11:06 - 14687 of 24230

Nothing obvious here, just north of Sevenoaks, but then again any seismic disturbances are normally ascribed to our resident 6 year old.

Spaceman - 28 Apr 2007 11:25 - 14688 of 24230

We noticed it here in Hastings, just a very slight judder but enough for my girlfriend to say the house was moving !

Kayak - 28 Apr 2007 11:39 - 14689 of 24230

Yes, but did you feel the earthquake?

Spaceman - 28 Apr 2007 11:45 - 14690 of 24230

Kayak, certainly did ;-)

Spaceman - 30 Apr 2007 07:30 - 14691 of 24230

Morning all, nice a bright here in Hastings.

Spend yesterday playing with my new chain saw, cut down 2 trees .....

Socrates - 30 Apr 2007 08:24 - 14692 of 24230

Good morning all. Bright and clear here in Cheltenham as well.

Spacie, I reckon you may be having a visit from the tree police before long!

KEAYDIAN - 30 Apr 2007 08:55 - 14693 of 24230

Cockadoodledo

stockbunny - 30 Apr 2007 09:11 - 14694 of 24230

Morning All - thank you keaydian for the alarm call ;>)
Tea's on!

KEAYDIAN - 30 Apr 2007 09:13 - 14695 of 24230

Large cup please.

Could murder a couple of poached eggs on toast if anyone has time?

Socrates - 30 Apr 2007 09:18 - 14696 of 24230

"Man wanted for Murder. Unprovoked attack on poached eggs on toast horrifies onlookers!"

KEAYDIAN - 30 Apr 2007 09:22 - 14697 of 24230

Not guily, m'lud.

KEAYDIAN - 30 Apr 2007 09:23 - 14698 of 24230

I'll eat the evidence (chump chomp chump chop, buuurrrrrrppppp, ahhhh.)

Bluelady - 30 Apr 2007 09:26 - 14699 of 24230

I saw the beautiful blue sky, I was so happy with the world amd then I walked into the coffee house and saw that Spaceman is attacking poor defenceless trees and Keaydian is murdering poached eggs. It's no yolk being here, lol.

Socrates - 30 Apr 2007 09:28 - 14700 of 24230

"Sapacema "? You been on the sauce, Bluelady?

Bluelady - 30 Apr 2007 09:35 - 14701 of 24230

Good morning Socrates, thanks for that, changed the relevant spelling. It was just that I was getting nervous posting here after all the murders going on that I posted very quickly, lol.

stockbunny - 30 Apr 2007 09:36 - 14702 of 24230

as long as rabbit doesn't go on the menu ;>)

ptholden - 30 Apr 2007 09:47 - 14703 of 24230

Rabbit can be substituted for chicken in many recipes.

Wash rabbit thoroughly in cold water and pat dry with paper towel. Rabbit should always be cooked until well done. For best results, use a meat thermometer inserted in the meatiest part of the rabbit. Internal temperatures should be as follows when the rabbit is done:

Breasts: 170F (76.6C)

Whole rabbit and other parts: 180F (82.2C)

To make a visual check to see if rabbit is done, pierce it with a fork. You should be able to insert the fork with ease, and the rabbit juices should run clear. Rabbit is thoroughly cooked when it is no longer pink inside.

To tenderize older rabbit or hare, place rabbit or hare in bowl. Pour 1 cup of vinegar over meat, then add enough to cover. Or marinate in a mixture of beer, garlic, and other species. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator overnight.

:) pth

Bluelady - 30 Apr 2007 09:50 - 14704 of 24230

Hi ptholden, LOL. How to win friends and influence rabbits?

stockbunny - 30 Apr 2007 10:31 - 14705 of 24230

I've already had a bath thank you PTH ;>)
I also have my trusty soda syphon ready should you attempt to get too near!
;>)

ptholden - 30 Apr 2007 10:37 - 14706 of 24230

The recipe does raise the following questions though:

Who patted you dry?
What is the meatiest part of the rabbit?

pth :)
