Over in Siberia the Ptr company are experianceing delays as the crane is damaged, also reports are said to, the drilling equipment is severley damaged and unduly delays are expected. Therefore no drilling will start untill Mid March by the earlest.

Spectrum - 25 Jan 2007 14:55 - 1473 of 2511

Drilling is going to start much sooner than March trust me, hold tight everybody and fill your boots with these share now.

cynic - 25 Jan 2007 14:59 - 1474 of 2511

have wide-topped boots to catch the fallout as you (we!) all start shitting ourselves!!

monacoman - 25 Jan 2007 15:59 - 1475 of 2511

very large buy in PTR this afternoon - obviously your comments have been taken onboard spectrum....!!

Falcothou - 30 Jan 2007 08:31 - 1476 of 2511

What's the significance of Kelleher jumping ship? "For family reasons"

cynic - 30 Jan 2007 08:32 - 1477 of 2511

aka pushed! ..... like "You wanna see your family again? Then clear off now!"

Falcothou - 30 Jan 2007 08:46 - 1478 of 2511

That sounds a lot more like Russian mafiosi style than civilised board meeting speak

HARRYCAT - 02 Feb 2007 13:27 - 1479 of 2511

Up 16% & still going! No news that I can find. Any ideas?

skyhigh - 02 Feb 2007 13:40 - 1480 of 2511

makes a change doesn't it ?... sentiment is changing ? oil price firming up ?

cynic - 02 Feb 2007 14:41 - 1481 of 2511

suspect just sellers dried up ..... but of course once you get a bit of momentum behind these spivvy stocks, there is a tendency for the world, his wife and the dog to jump on board

by the way, apparently Keller left genuinely for family reasons .... fed up living in Khaz!

lizard - 02 Feb 2007 15:05 - 1482 of 2511

with testing ongoing i wouldnt be so narrow minded.

HARRYCAT - 02 Feb 2007 15:43 - 1483 of 2511

steady, lizard. We are trying to swap ideas here & make money, not get under each other's skin. If you know of news due, then pass on the info please.

1.7 million shares traded on VOG today so far.
Bid 60p Offer 62p

cynic - 02 Feb 2007 16:10 - 1484 of 2511

lizard's OK .... leave him be ... lol!
i don't think the testing results (Well 103) are due for another 4/6 weeks but i may be wrong.
They sure need to be good, for VOG have failed to come up trumps so far

lizard - 02 Feb 2007 16:32 - 1485 of 2511

just think its worth keeping options open at this stage. no offence.

longterm trendline broken so?.

cynic - 02 Feb 2007 16:47 - 1486 of 2511

lizard ... please enlighten ..... how is the longterm trendline determined?
i concur that 25 dma has been broken and sp is now just nudging 50 dma, but 150 and 200 dma are significantyly higher

lizard - 02 Feb 2007 21:11 - 1487 of 2511

in simple terms the red line. the down trend since formation feb 06. trend reversal or break out of recent channel lower highs. 55p.

Strawbs - 02 Feb 2007 21:54 - 1488 of 2511

There was also a morning star on the candlestick chart at the start of last week......which is generally a bullish reversal pattern....if that helps....

Sadly no money so can't invest, otherwise I would've been tempted.... :-(

DYOR...etc.

Strawbs.

cynic - 03 Feb 2007 08:23 - 1489 of 2511

Strawbs .... you tempted by VOG????? ...... times really have changed .... lol!!

Lizard .... the red line to which you refer (above I assume) is just the 25 dma ..... it's certainly good to see it comprehensively broken, but it is surely more than a little premature even to put champagne on ice.

Strawbs - 03 Feb 2007 10:23 - 1490 of 2511

Only tempted on the technical analysis side Cynic. I've all but given up on small O&G stocks these days. My one vice being MRP, which "technically" looks promising.......if only they could deliver on some of the assets too. Bit like VOG I suppose..... :-)

Strawbs.

HARRYCAT - 05 Feb 2007 11:45 - 1491 of 2511

Still no news but up 5p today. If it crawls over the 70p mark might be tempted to take some profit. There is always the risk that the next drilling report might be disappointing.
