jeffmack - 01 May 2007 09:28 - 14755 of 24230

All on my lonesome in the office in Paris today. It is a public holiday but I came to work to earn a crust. Weather here is still fantasic, high 70's forcast. Getting me in the mood for my holiday next week to Cyprus. Its a tough life.....

Spaceman - 01 May 2007 09:34 - 14756 of 24230

Morning all, bright and sunny in Hastings again. April was a bit like may this year, first time I can remember having an outdoor BBQ in April for a while.

Talking of BBQ's I always insist on useing old fasioned lumpwood chacoal, not into these gas fired things but I am coming under increasing pressure to buy a gas one. My argumenet is that the charcoal is all part of the BBQ experience and that its more friendly to the environment. I know its takes about 30 minutes to be ready to cook on but that doesnt really matter when your sitting outside on a loveley day ;-)

Discuss .....

stockbunny - 01 May 2007 09:53 - 14757 of 24230

So burning charcoal - a fossil fuel - isn't contributing to the pollution Spacie?

Bluelady - 01 May 2007 10:22 - 14758 of 24230

Good morning Spaceman, to be truthful it has to be the taste which wins for BBQ's, forget about the waiting around, forget about being harmful to the environment, if indeed it is, forget about the neighbours' washing, it is the experience that counts, the delicious taste of the meat. However, I have just one question why is it when there is a BBQ....the meat ends up black and inedible? And we still eat it, lol.

Oh yes have you gone off the colour red? I notice the lettering has changed.

Morning jeffmack, Cyprus lovely place and probably best to go now before it gets too hot.

Morning Keaydian, how are you today? Must be feeling better to want tea and crumpets ;0). So here they are.

stockbunny - 01 May 2007 10:37 - 14760 of 24230

Bluelady - 01 May 2007 11:00 - 14763 of 24230

Perhaps, he is doing some work or contemplating what is in the mug of tea I gave him.

hilary - 01 May 2007 11:20 - 14764 of 24230

Bubble and squeek or Captain Kirk, Jeffie?

JStratford - 01 May 2007 11:20 - 14765 of 24230

Bluey, Tea mixed with lemonade by any chance?

Bluelady - 01 May 2007 11:24 - 14766 of 24230

J Stratford, as if I would do such a thing like that, ;0). Anyway, he would know as the milk would curdle due to the lemons!!

KEAYDIAN - 01 May 2007 11:26 - 14767 of 24230

Bluelady - 01 May 2007 11:31 - 14768 of 24230

stockbunny - 01 May 2007 11:37 - 14769 of 24230

;>)

jeffmack - 01 May 2007 11:41 - 14770 of 24230

Bubble and squeek or Captain Kirk

Now I am confused Hils

hilary - 01 May 2007 11:43 - 14771 of 24230

Cockney rhyming slang, Jeffie. You really do surprise me!

Greek or Turkish side of Cyprus?

JStratford - 01 May 2007 13:11 - 14772 of 24230

Lunch is served. Salmon caught this morning from the Cafe's Scottish stream, vegetables from the Cafe's garden in the Cotswolds. Alternatively, Beef from Welsh Blacks or a vegetarian option made with aforementioned vegetables. Now I'm going to take my pinny off and sit down whilst someone else does the washing up :-)

jeffmack - 01 May 2007 13:12 - 14773 of 24230

Bit slow there, should have been easy for a cockney geezer like me. Going back over Paphos way, tried for Larnaca side (Aya Napa) but couldnt get a flight back to Gatwick
