Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

stockbunny - 08 May 2007 11:42 - 14878 of 24230

LOL got the wind there, clouding over now..... :>(

JStratford - 08 May 2007 12:05 - 14879 of 24230

Afternoon all. Bit of rain and back to patchy blue skies now. Perhaps we should all take up predicting the weather instead of the markets!

Spaceman - 08 May 2007 12:52 - 14880 of 24230

its much brighter here now, and the F&C were yummy...

stockbunny - 08 May 2007 13:01 - 14881 of 24230

I've discovered Australian soft chewing liquorice - Lakeland import and sell it over here - if you like liquorice this stuff is heaven :>) Even do a dark chocolate coated one, sounds terrible but its heavenly......
I'm going back to the hammock with my bag of liquorice :>)

Bluelady - 08 May 2007 13:08 - 14882 of 24230

Good afternoon J Stratford.

Spaceman, Glad you enjoyed your F & Cs

Stockbunny, be careful when you smile after chewing liquorice ;0).

Spaceman - 08 May 2007 13:10 - 14883 of 24230

I love liquorice, can i have some please?

JStratford - 08 May 2007 13:13 - 14884 of 24230

The only problem with liquorice is that it doesn't do your blood pressure any good. But you only live once, so who cares. Any spare please? :-)

stockbunny - 08 May 2007 13:17 - 14885 of 24230

LOL Low blood pressure here so NO problem, mind you I doubt it does waistlines any good ;>)
Spacie - if you've got a Lakeland shop - cookery items etc they sell - near you go in and get some, or order online - it's not as sweet and rubberlike it is brilliant, a long way from Pontifract cakes and Bassetts - but moreish.....but ok I'll spare a little...

Spaceman - 08 May 2007 13:19 - 14886 of 24230

bunny, is it the soft stuff from Australia? if so thats my favorite.

Very good BBQ'd

stockbunny - 08 May 2007 13:19 - 14887 of 24230

Yes dear thats why its called Austrailian liquorice - duh wake up ;>)

Bluelady - 08 May 2007 13:21 - 14888 of 24230

J Stratford, neither do Danish cakes ;0).

I have just been reading on the internet that too much liquorice can also lower testosterone levels in men, affecting their mood and sex drive. It can also cause headaches which could be a novel excuse for saying 'No, not tonight I've been munching too much liquorice', lol.

Stockbunny, ;0) re Spaceman!!!

stockbunny - 08 May 2007 13:21 - 14889 of 24230

http://www.lakeland.co.uk/SearchResults.aspx?kw=liquorice

stockbunny - 08 May 2007 13:22 - 14890 of 24230

Well I doubt that will be a problem for our gentlemen ;>)

Bluelady - 08 May 2007 13:24 - 14891 of 24230

Stockbunny, how do you know THAT ;0)?

stockbunny - 08 May 2007 13:28 - 14892 of 24230

Because I am but a simple bunny and I believe everything they tell me......
;>)

optomistic - 08 May 2007 13:33 - 14893 of 24230

LOL

Bluelady - 08 May 2007 13:33 - 14894 of 24230

Well that is slightly risky... you should know not to believe postings on BBs unless you do some research of your own to verify the facts......and on THAT note I will now quietly close the coffee house door and never enter again!!

stockbunny - 08 May 2007 13:38 - 14895 of 24230

LOL Bluelady....Yes you are right but No I shall believe them, if they are regular residents in the coffee house they are beyond all doubting - even if I am still waiting for my pay rise of 500% promised in January.........
;>)

Bluelady - 08 May 2007 13:43 - 14896 of 24230

WOW, a 500% payrise, I might just stick around stockbunny to see if it materialises, LOL.....

JStratford - 08 May 2007 13:50 - 14897 of 24230

The question is what was the payrise for? ;-)
