my kids (24 and older!) rate mandarin kitchen (i think 4 seasons too) in queensway, and royal china can be pretty good too, though much more expensive and a bit variable ..... hakkasan in west end is also good, but that is a totally different price bracket

I can vouch for the Mandarin Kitchen. their Lobster in ginger and spring onion is superb.

Some jewish punters I know carry round in their pocket a small piece of copper wire, then dine at some expensive restaurant, when pudding arrives they place the copper wire in the food then in right royal jewish style start screaming and complaining, and most times get away with a free meal.
