Spy chief warns of cyber attack threat from Russia
By Peter Dominiczak, political editor Ben Farmer - 1 NOVEMBER 2016 • 12:35AM

Russia is being "increasingly aggressive" and is willing to use "propaganda, espionage, subversion and cyber-attacks" against countries including the UK, the head of MI5 has said.

In comments made in the first ever newspaper interview given by a serving MI5 boss in the 107 years since the security agency was founded, Andrew Parker said that although the fight against Isil could last a generation, it is vital not to ignore the growing threat from Russia.

Mr Parker's comments came in an interview with the Guardian, which could prompt criticism given his previously criticism of the newspaper for publishing the leak by CIA spy Edward Snowden of thousands of GCHQ files.

In the interview, Mr Parker warned that Russia is "at work" in the UK..............

IoT interoperability: Where it stands and what comes next

The Allseen Alliance earlier this month merged with the Open Connectivity Foundation with plans to operate under the OCF name in working towards interoperability in the “internet of things” market through open source software frameworks and standards. IoT interoperability is a hot topic at conferences around the world, with the forecast billions of forthcoming IoT devices expected to be reliant on their ability to connect with each other in order to garner the most benefit, even in an industrial setting.

Art Lancaster, CTO of Affinegy, told Industrial IoT 5G there has been progress in different verticals, but the growth opportunity of IoT needs to be sped up with a broad base of IoT interoperability using a consortium framework of many different companies.....

Very difficult to buy over size 25K is MMs size

A bottom again 7.125p?

After 2 tries I have managed to buy 35K @ 7.25p on a T+20 with broker about 15 minutes ago, not reported as is over the normal size and with time, so I expect to be delayed by 1 hour

Very strong Level 2 of 4 v 1
note : they were asking 7.40p at the first attempt.

7.625p +0.375p
finally on the move after the late rally yesterday and early buying this morning

TERN could benefit

TECH TRADER DAILY ARM, Armed with Softbank Money, Goes After Everything, Says Canaccord

ARM Holdings has new capital from its parent SoftBank to spend money on all sorts of computing markets, says Canaccord Genuity's Matt Ramsay, which could be trouble for Intel in markets such as Internet of Things and "edge computing."
ByTiernan Ray Updated July 11, 2017 12:26 a.m. ET

"In the area of Internet of Things, "ARM’s ecosystem will likely completely own the IoT market long term,” he believes, "lending support for chip vendors including Qualcomm/NXP, Texas Instruments, Microchip, Cypress, Silicon Labs and many others and increased IoT challenges for other architectures including Intel’s x86."
