VOG is presently drilling Well 104 in its West Medvezhye field,and expected to reach depth in 4 weeks from spud date of 30th June, that makes 27th July(this week).
Results of testing will be sometime mid/late August, with a positive outcome
it could be HUGH.
With estimates of 134BILLION cubic metres of GAS and 201 Million barrels of Gas
Condensate,it will be a Company Maker. The field is in the area of the largest gas field in the WORLD.
Other assets include Kemerkol in Kazakhstan, with C1 reserves of 8.7MBO
and C2 reserves of7.8MBO. Another acquistion is Tamdykol with potental
reserves of 34MBO, it also has interest in 2 blocks in the North Sea.

It has excellent management team led by Kevin Foo, who hopes to turn it into
a Mid Cap Company(�500m+) in the not to distant future.

Still no news but up 5p today. If it crawls over the 70p mark might be tempted to take some profit. There is always the risk that the next drilling report might be disappointing.

there is that caveat indeed Harry ...... i think i shall hold until the rns comes .... unfortunately, a trailing stop would be ineffective as if report is disappointing, sp will be marked down 10p+ instantly and as i only hold 10,000 shares, not really worth taking partial profit

That depends what your buy price was, but sub 55p might well be worth taking if it goes over the 70p mark.
You must be pretty confidant that the next RNS is going to be favourable!

i bought (back in) at 61 ..... as my total risk is only 6k i shall hold ..... i think there are quite good hopes that the report on Well 103 will be positive, but if i was that confident i would buy more, but i'm not!

what a difference a few weeks make,rns comes out which was neither good or bad price goes below the s/price at the time, now people jumping on board or have i missed something?

nope ..... just usual greed factor coming into play - i.e. sp moves up quite sharply as a few buyers and sellers have dried up so (il)logically someone must know something!

Have checked the VOG website for news, but no recent additions.
Nearly 3 million shares traded so far today & bid now 70.50, offer 70.75.
Greed is encouraging me to hold for the moment.

rumour is that rns will be sooner rather than later and will be encouraging to good.

fact is that Fidelity were the big seller of their 7% stake that is now out of the way + some/all of Keller's stake following his resignation

Probably have to announce something soon anyway. Must be getting on for nearly 35% up in 2 days........Just typical when I had no cash to invest..... :-(

VOG's volatility is inevitably rather scary, especially as the latest surge is seemingly built on hope and expectation rather than reality .... that said the chart below makes quite interesting viewing ..... 25 and 50 dma have been soundly breached and 200 dma is a little way off ..... potential or even probable resistance at 78/80p ..... rsi is a little toppy but not drastic

looks like another day of heavy trading on the bubble ..... just be careful one and all .... as i posted above, the present surge looks to be built on hope and expectation rather than reality.

its funny about 8 months on that people are suggesting caution!!!!!!!!!

i said this would go to 50p ages ago and got blasted............in fact i think i was only one when it was about 180p.

it came back and cos everyone gave me abuse i bought in about 110p...........still not that bad.........but now everyone is pi??ed off and probably sold off.

i think these will get back to at least 150p in time

If we see the sp at 1 before march , we could see old highs beaten by summer.

& if we don't, then what?
Surely sp movement is currently dependent on the contents of the next RNS?
But, as a holder of VOG, I sure hope you are right.:o)
