ITV must now be a bargain. The current team clearly are an issue but you'd think the big American companies would recognise the bargain.
The yield is also high and can be reinvested. That really does limit the down side. You can even win here if it drops further!

From what I gather 'I'm a Celebrity get me out of here' is proving to be very popular which makes a change for ITV

BSkyB has bought 17.9% of ITV stock. Should make for a very interesting opening on Monday.

I don't think 145p is on the cards. However 80p seems more likely as BSkyB has bought 15% of ITV preventing the merging of ITV and NTL. The Daily Telegraph on Saturday has said there will be a massive drop in sp next week. Good luck!

TANKER---------BSKYB said they checked the legalities prior to buying the stake, so presumably they had the OK to do so, what I don't understand is how they were able to buy nearly 18% of ITV @ 135p without the investing public being aware.

They did what NTL should have done and bought out two of the largest shareholders in one go. No wonder Branson's mad, he must be surrounded by monkeys!

JRM-----If they bought during the trading day, surely as soon as they had a 3% holding the market should have been informed. Re your comment about BT, do you mean better for BT to takeover ITV, or better for BT in general?

Almost clawed back to fridays closing price, feeling nervous so sold my call options @ 18p having bought @ 12.5p. If they should drop back then I may buy again ( options not the shares ).
