Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

Marky, you could bank a few....and buy back a month later....or in a sipp before, or take out a spread with some of the profits on the same stock in a week or so...it's up to you...

HARRYCAT - 04 Jun 2010 09:05 - 1532 of 6294

Even you seemed anxious yesterday when the sp plummeted to >140p Marky!
You just never know when trouble is going to strike with oilies. High risk, high reward.

markymar - 04 Jun 2010 09:07 - 1533 of 6294

Harry, FOGL and BOR are a totally different risk its a totally different geology and it might as well be in Timbuktu, you should stay in the NFB shares the basin is proven its only the start.

Its like only certain fields have magic mushrooms you find one you find many more in the same field!!!

I know this is probably nuts : but imagine what would happen if a mad Argie in a small tanker or plane crashed into and disabled the rig ?...the sp would crash.....ok...it's in the world of fantasy...but crazy things happen...

Proselenes - 04 Jun 2010 09:09 - 1535 of 6294

Holding long and strong.

A flow test will at least double the present price.

And today the news is "Testing equipment is on its way".

Not too long to go for a doubling and more from present levels...... :)

Proselenes - 04 Jun 2010 09:11 - 1536 of 6294

RF, imagine if Iran launched a few missiles and they landed on Kurdistan, how would your GKP shares do ?

LOL

required field - 04 Jun 2010 09:11 - 1537 of 6294

Can you flow test a well without the rig ?.....perhaps a daft question....

required field - 04 Jun 2010 09:13 - 1538 of 6294

Not very well is the answer.....it's just about risk....and you 2 could bank some and buy them back a few pennies less within a spread....

I thought it had to magic mushrooms.....well done Marky and Proselenes on this fabulous discovery.....

zz1974 - 04 Jun 2010 09:16 - 1540 of 6294

How long until flow test done and analysed???? Weeks? Months?

robstuff - 04 Jun 2010 09:16 - 1541 of 6294

Should shoot up again on Monday, imagine the press articles

robstuff - 04 Jun 2010 09:17 - 1542 of 6294

should shoot up again on Monday - just imagine the Press articles over the weekend

required field - 04 Jun 2010 09:18 - 1543 of 6294

Perhaps not...the news is out....and was expected....could be a lull for a while...

markymar - 04 Jun 2010 09:19 - 1544 of 6294

Depending on how quick they can get the equipment to the Falklands then I suppose it is possible when Fogl release the rig it could possibly flow test before it goes to Ernest and on the back of good news from flow test raise additional funds and drill more prospects..as said OG wont be leaving the waters of the Falklands for a long time.

Proselenes - 04 Jun 2010 09:19 - 1545 of 6294

Why sell ?

Sit back, ignore short term movements, wait for flow testing, watch SP double and more.

Simple and no risk or worry.

Anyone with stop losses should remove them to prevent the shorters and MM's getting your shares again like they did to some on Wednesday.

markymar - 04 Jun 2010 09:20 - 1546 of 6294

well said

required field - 04 Jun 2010 09:20 - 1547 of 6294

Where's Cynic ?....any views on all this ?.....

Proselenes - 04 Jun 2010 09:21 - 1548 of 6294

zz1974,

They said today "testing equipment is on its way" and it will be flow tested "as soon as possible".

Patience needed, thats all, ignore short term movements.

Sell for jam today, or sell for caviar later on.

Balerboy - 04 Jun 2010 09:23 - 1549 of 6294

if rig moves to fogl then your looking at 2 months before testing can start.

zz1974 - 04 Jun 2010 09:24 - 1550 of 6294
