Big Al - 22 May 2007 03:38 - 15316 of 24230

20th April was last time I read this thread. Just thought I'd let you know.

Good morning. ;-))

Spaceman - 22 May 2007 04:05 - 15317 of 24230

Al, your always welcome, so where are you at the moment? somewhere exotic? like the North Sea ;-)

Big Al - 22 May 2007 04:24 - 15318 of 24230

Indeed. ;-))

.............. at least until tomorrow. Yee-ha!

Bluelady - 22 May 2007 07:35 - 15319 of 24230

Not certain whether you will see this Spaceman, since you were awake when you should have been asleep, but yes a full blown man cold really does need special care and attention otherwise it turns into man flu and could lead to death......so how can I be nice to you?

Big Al, eerie you were in the coffee house, spoke to me and then disapppeared for a month to somewhere exotic.!!!!! Absolutely amazing timing though to be able to speak to Spaceman at that time in the night. Welcome back.

optomistic - 22 May 2007 07:45 - 15320 of 24230

Morning Blue, Nice for Big Al to have a holiday home on the North Sea .......exotic, umh not so sure about that!
Any tea ready?

Bluelady - 22 May 2007 08:00 - 15321 of 24230

Optomistic the urn has been bubbling away and a fresh cup on it's way to you, or was it pot, lol.

JStratford - 22 May 2007 08:04 - 15322 of 24230

Morning all. Spacie, you have my sympathy - pneumonia can be so annoying :-)

KEAYDIAN - 22 May 2007 08:22 - 15323 of 24230

Spacie. I always get my home made life support machine out the loft when I feel a cold approaching.

The beep beep beep kind of reassures me ;O)

KEAYDIAN - 22 May 2007 08:23 - 15324 of 24230

Morning all.

Large pot of tea please and a couple of crumpets if there is any.

stockbunny - 22 May 2007 08:52 - 15325 of 24230

Good morning! :>)
I'll just take a pot of tea, 2 paracetamol and 2 danish to the patient (spacie) bless... ;>)
How is everyone else?
There have been colds running about for weeks now round here, the changing weather doesn't seem to help a lot.

JStratford - 22 May 2007 09:00 - 15326 of 24230

Can I have a couple of Danish Blondes as well please Bunny? ;-)
At least it's nice weather this morning, although that does mean it's going to start getting unpleasently warm in here later on today! Still better go and water the plants...

Spaceman - 22 May 2007 09:20 - 15327 of 24230

Morning all, thanks for your good wishes.

Following Keaydians advice I have connected myself to my life support machine and I am on 100% oxygen and on bunny's orders I had a couple of paracetamol as well. The girlfriend also prescribed and made me a special high vitamin C fruit smoothy.

I just rang the hospital and asked for a full time nurse to be sent round straight away but they refused, they had the cheek to say that they reserved nurses for use with people who are actually ill! do they know how bad a cold actually is? all I can say is that as soon as I am better (assuming I survive) that I shall be writing to my MP.

After I phoned the hospital I did wonder whether I made a mistake in describing exactly the sort of age and appearance and interests that the nurse should have.

KEAYDIAN - 22 May 2007 09:23 - 15328 of 24230

Beep beep beep beep

Oh dear Spacie

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

beep beep beep beep

JStratford - 22 May 2007 09:56 - 15331 of 24230

You really must keep the battery plugged in on those things. Mind you it sounded like one of my ex's when she was reversing her car - normally followed by a loud crash.

stockbunny - 22 May 2007 09:56 - 15332 of 24230

Now then Keaydian I think you're skills are better employed elsewhere then caring for the suffering......
How about clearing out the ashes from the fire, after all they are due to the logs...

stockbunny - 22 May 2007 09:57 - 15333 of 24230

JS - danish for you of course :>)

Bluelady - 22 May 2007 10:00 - 15334 of 24230

Thank goodness for that Spaceman that you didn't take me up on my offer of being nice to you, lol, and you have taken up the offer of the others. You asked me the other week what my job was and I never told you that I specialised in the recuperation of males who suffer from colds in order to prevent the cold developing into man flu!!!! I have even written to many an MP in order for it to be the main priority in the hospital intensive care unit if needed. And of course I have a whole team of nurses who work for me, females of all ages and descriptions and males if there is a requirement.

KEAYDIAN - 22 May 2007 10:19 - 15335 of 24230

(Grabs dustpan and brush from the cupboard)

(sweep sweep sweep)

All done Stockbunny ready for Spacie.
