Hi all Latest release looks good
Jubilee Platinum PLC
04 January 2006
JUBILEE PLATINUM PLC
('Jubilee' or 'the Company')
Drilling and Exploration Update from Londokomanana project in Madagascar
Jubilee reports significantly higher nickel grades in northern section of
Londokomanana
Jubilee announces the results of its first borehole ANT1 drilled in the
Antsahabe property, in the northern part of the Londokomanana concession ('
Londokomanana') in Madagascar.
Highlights
Borehole ANT1 intersects 48 metres total (apparent thickness) of
multi-layered high-grade nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation close to
surface (estimated to be 15 metres below surface)
Bulk mining weighted average grades up to 0.64% nickel and 0.13%
copper (total copper equivalent of 2.0%) with in situ gross metal values
('GMVs') (nickel plus copper) from US$70 to U$90/tonne of rock. (Nickel
values previously reported in Lavatrafo were between 0.26% to 0.52% )
Intersections include 5 metres at 1.0% nickel, 1.7 metres and 1.0
metre both at 2.1% nickel with total copper equivalents ranging from 3.3%
to 6.2% and GMVs from US$146 to US$278/tonne of rock (at today's prices*)
The full results from the drill core from collar to 122 metres below surface are
appended and the results of the significant mineralised intercepts are shown in
Table 1 below:

Colin Bird, CEO of Jubilee, said: 'This is a very pleasing result and the nickel
grades are strong for a bulk mining target. These base metal values compare
favourably with similar projects world-wide. Our objective is now to confirm a
significant strike length in order to establish a resource to support a large
bulk mining operation.'
The Antsahabe property includes some 22 kilometres of geophysical and
geochemical anomalies, which were identified through previous geochemical and
geophysical exploration by Jubilee in the area. The Company undertook test
drilling at Antsahabe in order to confirm the continuity of mineralisation in
the estimated total 35 kilometres of formations at Londokomanana (north and
south).
Jubilee also updates on the drill programme at its Lavatrafo property. The
Antsahabe deposit is part of the northern unit, whilst Lavatrafo lies in the
southern part.
The drilling programme in the Lavatrafo formation included several lithological
boreholes, the results from which closes the northern end of this formation and
has delineated to date a 360-metre strike length of
copper-nickel-platinum-palladium mineralisation to the south.
Further south, the Company carried out detailed dipole-dipole geophysics
followed with more extensive geochemical sampling over potential new formations
in the area, which the Company had identified from earlier trench sampling.
These results will be reported as soon as they become available.
The Londokomanana concession is held by Jubilee's 85% owned subsidiary Mineral
Resources of Madagascar Sarl, and is located approximately 150 kilometres north
of the Madagascan capital Antananarivo.
Set Point Laboratories (ISO 17025 and SANAS Accredited) in Johannesburg, South
Africa carried out the analyses of the borehole core samples. Quality assurance
in place currently comprises of standards, blanks and check samples making 10%
of samples submitted.

Hello poo, didn't realise that you were into these as well. What a nice day - ahead strongly on good volume. Does someone have wind of an announcement? There must be a reason for such a strong performance today.
Happy days.

Hi Pondy.
Oh yes.
Seems there was a comment in the Telegraph but non specific in relation to JLP.
Only other thing I can think of is that the price was down long enough for the those who wanted, to buy what they wanted, and now it's going where it should have gone after the last news.
I knew you were on them as I saw you on the other channel.

Excellent start to the year, more strong buying today and sp rise.
JLP has so much potential as we've stated from the <40p days and IMO this sp will be over 100p during this year. Well done to those who stuck with it.
What will happen to the sp on next good news??

Hey'all,
Good to see people sticking with this - those holding fromsub 40 days are sitting on a nice profit, and patience will prove very worthwhile. IMHO, I think we can see 100p plus within the year, as Andy mentions. The drilling results have been great and I think we'll see 80p hit today....

I like the 'sum of the parts' estimate of 216p per share. I think that I'll be hanging on to these for the ride. If we get half way close to 216 it should make us all happy. If I held a lot more of these it would compensate for the beating I've taken on BUR today. The market giveth and the market taketh away.

Hi PondLife - I know the feeling. I have been hit on BARC today, and missed the chance to top when sub600 the other day. But hey, things come things go. At least this is looking cool. We didn't the hit the 80p mark, but maybe tomorrow. There's some good movement daily, and a strong finish to the week would be nice.
Enjoy the ride...

What do we think to this then chaps?
Jubilee today announces that it has agreed terms for a Joint Venture with MSA
Projects (Pty) Ltd ('MSA'), which will allow the Company to earn a minimum of
70% interest in the prospective Grass Valley Platreef project in the northern
limb of the Bushveld Complex. The earn-in option is valid over a period of 33
months, mainly through the funding of exploration by its wholly owned subsidiary
Windsor Platinum Investments (Pty) Limited ('Windsor') and the staged issuing of
Windsor shares to MSA.
Highlights
Jubilee acquires option to earn-in to a 70% interest in the Grass Valley
platinum group metal (PGM) project in the northern limb of the Bushveld
Complex
The 663 hectares project, represents possibly the last remaining
untested block of Platreef ground in the Bushveld Complex
Five kilometres of potential Platreef identified in outcrop
The project is located between exploration successes including the War
Springs, Rooipoort and Volspruit deposits
Open-pittable PGM deposits predominate on the Platreef
The project has Prospecting Rights and is drill ready
The terms of the Joint Venture give Windsor the right to undertake an
exploration programme including drilling, for which prior to commencement
Windsor will pay MSA ZAR140,000 and Jubilee will grant MSA a five-year option,
from date of the issue of the prospecting right, to subscribe for 500,000 shares
in Jubilee at the share price plus 15% prevailing at the time of subscription.
After commencement of exploration, Windsor will earn-in to up to a 70% interest
in the project by funding the programme in stages and by the issuance of Windsor
shares to MSA. The issue of Windsor shares to MSA will depend on the level of
exploration funding committed by Windsor and the technical/commercial success of
the various exploration stages. MSA will have the right to convert the Windsor
shares to Jubilee shares up to a maximum of 5,500,000 Jubilee shares.
Jubilee and MSA support both the philosophy and intentions of the Mineral and
Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA) and the Mining Charter of South
Africa and the agreement makes provision for a suitably qualified Black Economic
Empowerment partner.
Colin Bird, Chief Executive for Jubilee said: 'This position is a major step
towards securing an open-pittable resource in the northern limb of the Bushveld
Complex. The strike length of this resource is considerable and we intend to
progress work on this target quickly. Soil geochemistry on the property and the
mineralisation on the surrounding farms indicate a drill ready target. The
shares issued to MSA will be against project success and thus for the Company
there is significant mitigation of both technical and financial risk.'
The 663 hectares Grass Valley Platreef project, which represents possibly the
last remaining untested block of Platreef ground in the Bushveld, is situated
just south of Mokopane (formerly Potgietersrus), squarely between the Platinum
Group Metals' War Springs deposit, Caledonia's Rooipoort deposit and the Pan
Palladium Volspruit deposit.
Approximately 5 kilometres of potential Platreef outcrop have been identified
through a geochemical soil-sampling programme undertaken by MSA during 2004. A
comprehensive diamond-drilling programme is currently being designed to drill
test these anomalies and will form the basis of initial resource estimates. The
initial phase of diamond drilling is planned to start during the first quarter
of 2006.
The Platreef is a wide platinum bearing reef occurring along approximately 100
kilometres of outcrop on the northern limb of the Bushveld Complex. This open
pittable reef zone has been the focus of significant and well publicised
exploration during the past five years, with companies such as Angloplats,
Anooraq, Ivanhoe, Platinum Group Metals, Pan Palladium and Caledonia having
embarked on extensive and successful drilling programmes in the zone.
One of the major benefits of this wide reef zone in general is that, in addition
to significant contained platinum and palladium, there is also substantial
associated nickel and copper credits, making the Platreef an exciting, low-cost,
polymetallic prospect.

JLP has been on a stunning run of late, including breaking through the psychological 1 barrier today. I hadn't posted as I didn't want to jinx it! But the news regarding the joint venture with Impala Platinum Holdings seems to have done it anyway. The sp has bombed on the news but I can't see why. Any thoughts?

Sell on the news? Clearly the deal was already in the price.
