Vislink plc
Annual General Meeting trading update - Wednesday 24th May 2006
Vislink plc ('the Group'), the leading supplier of microwave radio and satellite transmission products for the broadcast and security markets and CCTV systems for the marine security market, will hold its Annual General Meeting later this morning.
The Chief Executive, Ian Scott-Gall, will give a trading update to the meeting
including the following comments.
'The Group has made a very strong start to the year. For the first four month's
trading in 2006
Order inflow is 35% ahead of the same period last year
Sales are 72% ahead of the same period last year
Adjusted operating profit for the period, being operating profit before
the amortisation of acquired intangibles, is over 50% ahead of the
3.2million reported for the first six months of 2005
Both the international and domestic markets remain strong for MRC our US
broadcast business. MRC's recent success in winning two Broadcast industry
awards at NAB 2006, the world's largest electronic media show, demonstrates
continued progress with new product introductions.
Our UK broadcast business continues to benefit from the growth of Link Research
with increasing demand for their new HD products and from sales growth and the
return to profitability of Advent, the satellite communications business.
Hernis, the specialist marine safety and security business, has made an
excellent start to the year with orders currently 50% ahead of the first four
month's of last year. Hernis continues to win significant orders from both
marine and offshore oil and gas projects.
In summary, the Board is pleased with the progress made so far this year and
looks forward to the rest of the year with enthusiasm and confidence.'

Email just received :
RTVV, the Spanish broadcaster, selected OVIDE RF to cover Pope Benedict XVIs recent visit to Valencia where more than a million people congregated in one of the largest public gatherings in Spain during recent years.
A crew of fourteen technicians installed fifteen LinkXP systems for point-to-point applications, and seven LinkXPR systems with camera control, which were all used during 30 hours of live TV production when OVIDE RF provided feeds to all of the international broadcasters.

I rather fear that if one is not already on board, now is not the time to do it ..... Figures at the end of the month will, I am sure, be fantastic, but the sp has already rocketed and the odds must be pretty short on some quite heavy profit-taking just after the figures.

hi soul* ..... as i mentioned to you, the figures will assuredly be terrific, but they are already well flagged ..... for myself, i shall wait until after they are announced as i do not feel the odds are well stacked at the moment for continuing upward spiral.

I am no analyst either, but RSI must have relevance whatever the stock ..... with RSI for VLK standing at 80, my view is that one needs to be quite or even pretty brave to dive in now.... of course, it may be that the figures are just so stunning that any profit-taking is easily absorbed, but surely the odds do not favour that?

MULTIMILLION DOLLAR US DEAL FOR LINK-XP WIRELESS CAMERA SYSTEMS
Aerial Video Systems (AVS) has placed a multi-million dollar order with Microwave Radio Communications (MRC) for the LinkXP wireless camera systems supplied by Link Research Ltd (Link). Both MRC and Link are Vislink plc companies. This transaction is part of the Sprint 2 GHz relocation program under way in the US.
The AVS order will make the company the largest provider of LinkXP systems in the world. This investment will enable the company to make even greater strides in the delivery of live content programming to customers around the world.
AVS took delivery of its first LinkXP systems two years ago and was the first customer in the United States to order the Link HD wireless camera systems. In a bit of history, AVS was the first to successfully demonstrate a high definition wireless camera system in the United States at a Monday Night Football game in December 2005. Since then AVS has covered numerous live events with the AVS/Link HD camera system such as the Super Bowl, NBA playoffs and finals and the Academy Awards.
AVS has always been about being on the technological cutting edge and our continuing partnership with Link will further that mission, stated Randy Hermes, president and CEO of Aerial Video Systems.
AVS is based in Burbank, California and specializes in next generation camera and video solutions and has been recognized with seven Emmy Awards for technical achievement.
