Nomura ‘encouraging investors to buy BT’
'Buy' BT said analysts on Friday, among them Nomura, after the company reported a rise in sales and profits in the last quarter of 2013.

The company was one of few risers mid-afternoon on Friday, up 3.1% to 382p, after reporting pre-tax profits of £617 million for the last three months of 2013. The company benefited from demand for its broadband and BT Sport service.

Nomura was particularly upbeat on BT shares: 'We expect BT’s growth to take another step forward when more relaxed price controls take effect from April, and again when it relaunches into enterprise and consumer mobile later in the year,' commented analyst James Britton.

'We are encouraging investors to buy BT ahead of it moving towards a growth rating.'

Britton has a target price of 500p for BT.

Thinking these could move up nicely from here on the Bank contract news this morning. Could be the first of many. Keep on the watch list or buy. I have added this morning.

Have been watching GF!! But missed out. Back in AVAP at 139 so pleased with that though.

Yep David AVAP going well as is SKP up over 10%. drat didnt get in first thing on that posted it here first.

Must remember in future.

SHP is trundling along gently too

A few posted here lately doing very well.

Plus a few others that were doing well until the market pull back.

i'll have a look at BT, but i don't really want to throw more money into the ring, so something else would have to go

Trading statement SLIGHTLY AHEAD....this morning.

Hmmmmm Paul Scott known by some as Pauly Pilot as put the kybosh with his morning report on UTW saying its not for him its too expensive.

This from a bloke who blew his account in 2008 by being way over leveraged and had to sell his car and move into a smaller house. (he said himself he'd blown the lot, words to that effect in fact worse)

How on earth do they get away with it.

Time the FCA were more proactive.

(i dont hold but was going to buy in fact probably will do later)
