Now me being a bit dim here (and also not following TV shows) thought the whole idea of that program was that people were sacked, so surely if she's been sacked that is kind of understandable? Or am I missing something?

She's been sacked from her actual job that she was going to return to having 'turned down' Alan Sugar's offer of a place in the final of The Apprentice.
