SWW, noticed that PRE moving up. Maybe your Danbury news is on the way. Don't know too much about them though. Seems to be money moving from one oil stock to another at the moment. Quick profit for you on DES though.
Hilary, couldn't comment on EVO. Not been checking L2 as my trial ran out a few days ago.

SWW,
I'm not here to knock your stock and I'm not here to get personal ..... I'd go to ADVFN for that!! I'm just trying to help a few others.

gavdfc,
EVO have been on the offer for days. Ask yourself why that is.

Hilary, fair comment, but we all make our own decisions in what we do.

good morning all....
late start and it took me 10 minutes to get through the postings!
SWW, into DES. I have to say this is one that i believe will take a breather over the coming weeks when the euphoria dies down. it is one of those stocks where you are in at 15p or you are not and can sit back and wait for the pullback. I hope that it stays above 60p for your sake but if the possibilities are that great then i think there will be some consolidation when the news abates and switchers move into the next story. i do of course respect you for putting your money where your mouth is....
Hilary, I wouldn't read anything about EVO being on the offer in SEY. Tactically if they were on the bid it would look like they were attempting to support the price. As with any MM, especially one underwritting the issue, politically they have to be involved on the touch and in reality with such a small NMS they would be your first port of call if you want to deal in size. If they weren't on the touch at all and missed a chunk of secondary business they would not be doing their job or indeed taking advantage of a lead position in what has become a more widely held stock and hopefully one that will increase mkt cap.
a long winded explanation but one i hope dismisses any vicious rumours about the success of the placement.

Thanks for the comment re FOGL, a bit distracted by PET at the moment so not looking into other possibles fully. Also hold HNR,PRE,PCI and a small holding in FTO. Others include:MPH,ASC and DFD(oddly enough one of my most profitable holdings..but seems very few people in on it).But enough of that....nice to see HNR on the rebound today...trying to remember how the share price reacted to last drilling campaign in terms of disappointments but just remember lots of good news. Nearly had these for two years so may as well hang on another month for tax drop...although if PET is a no go tax will be irrelevant.Thought it would make more sense to top up SEY as future return should be a lot higher than HNR.
Need tea and toast after all that!

Call me a bottler, saw the pull back on DES and sold +7.
A long term hold indeed.

SEY will make similar waves. i think this deal has transformend the companies prosepect. we haven't discussed this for a while but does anyone out there think that in this environment we could see the majors start coming in to pick up a few of the minnows??????

How is this for a reply
Shares Mag(SEY) - 18.25p BUY
Old favourite Sterling remains a buy having first been tipped at 6.5p on 24 April 2003 and updated several times since - most recently on 13 May 2004 at 15p.
One wet hole one dry hole from the Mauritannian drilling programme looks reasonable but the big reason for buying the shares is the revenue sharing deal which will allow Sterling a bigger slice of revenues from the Chinguetti Field by funding the governments 12% stake at a cost of 97 Million.
The ease with which Sterling raised the money through broker Evolution speakes volumes for it's City standing. The 30p target next year remains bright, probably achieved through being taken over. The PE should fall to 16 in 2005.

Ey.............
Sold DES just in time.
50p is being touted as where it should be.
SEY a takeover?
Always on the cards.
PMO would want them first to absorb the revenue they will take off them.

i really hadn't seen the Shares comment...as you said, great reply. maybe we will see some t/o soon in the sector.
quid by xmas...bucket of salt with that as always but we are already looking at a serious mkt cap company right now...that 30 to 50p level in achievable

Funny.
I wrote a "funny" reply to a poster and cancelled it which clearly stated that I use such tricks as lucky charms, belief in Leprechauns and Pixies in share dealing.
All those charts and things can be useful but the EVO thing is a compete mystery to me and I want it to remain so.
Too dangerous to know too much, I might lose money!
