ARM Goldman: conviction buy, tp reiterated 800

Results thursday,

Avon Rubber focuses on three major businesses: it provides rubber products for defence companies, liners and tubing for dairies to milk the cows, and gas masks for the military and emergency services. The group announced yesterday it had landed a lucrative three-year contract with the US Department of Defense. The deal will see Avon provide filters for use with its M50 gas mask, with the maximum contract value at $38m, and an initial order value of $11m, which will be completed this year.

The analysts were happy with the news, with Edison saying it supports its positive view on Avon's business "in these uncertain times". Besides, investors should note that the stock trades on just 8.5 times estimated earnings for next year, according to Altium, offering ample scope for upside gains, the Independent says.

Big Broker backing for chime and on a very cheap P/E of just over 7 going forward.....

CLLN Goldman: reiterated neutral, tp cut to 375 from 442

It happened to blip up on dividend criteria - so I've added it to my watch list for further examination.

Didnt know you were a divi man, thought you always went for capital gains like me.

Do you use a screener then??.

Yes I have quite a few "boring" yielders in my SIPP as well as looking for capital gainers.
Some are becoming very attractive due to the current sell off ( assuming of course they maintain their dividend).

No screener as such - I just build lists of companies I'm interested in and research/monitor them.

Thinking of adding a few more BRW to my SIPP, yield is 5.34% currently, and they're a long term potential takeover target (imho!).

SC - looks interesting. I've a few similar on my shopping list, but I'm holding fire hoping they get near (or exceed) their 12 month low.

consider selling if you hold and buy back cheaper - help recover losses for you

HFD close to 12 month low of 282 - current price@287 gives a yield of 7.66%

HFD low (so far) 283.2 - hoping for a bit more (less).
