This is a article about chinese real estate... and the kind of growth... it is from this link http://www.financialexpress.com/latest_full_story.php?content_id=116095
BEIJING, JANUARY 30: Investment in China's real estate sector surged to an estimated $657.6 billion during the 10th five-year plan period, contributing 4.5 per cent to the GDP.
China saw a rapid increase in real estate investment between 2001 and 2005, a crucial period in the country's rapid urbanisation process, according to the Chinese ministry of construction.
Statistics show that the national real estate investment during January to November of last year reached 1.324 trillion Yuan, up on the total of 2004 - 1.316 trillion Yuan. the ministry also revealed that by the end of 2005, the purchase of private housing had accounted for 93.2 per cent of the total dealings, with Chinese residents spending 968 billion Yuan that year, about twice that of the year 2000. Chinese residents' total expenditure on houses in the past five years has exceeded four trillion Yuan, Xinhua news agency reported.
The blooming market has also promoted the development of the second-hand house market, the ministry said. currently, the total number of staff involved in house development, estate agents and property management have exceeded four million.
And in 2004, the added value of the real estate industry reached 717.4 billion Yuan, about 4.5 per cent of China's national Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Between 2001 and 2005 nearly 1.3 billion square meters of new housing were built in China each year - 570 million square meters in urban areas and 730 million square meters in rural areas.

thanks for research on China residential. I have the feeling that creo will be investing in the city centre ie tower blocks/office developments in the rapid growth areas eg Shanghai-what do you think.

kaymar100, I'm sure you are right... there seems to be a a bit of a treand for fast growing economies to have a larger real estate boom. There are two floations coming up... Pactolus Hungarian Property and Bulgarian Land Development... they both fall in to this niche... I will be keeping an eye on them
