Results of testing will be sometime mid/late August, with a positive outcome
it could be HUGH.
With estimates of 134BILLION cubic metres of GAS and 201 Million barrels of Gas
Condensate,it will be a Company Maker. The field is in the area of the largest gas field in the WORLD.
Other assets include Kemerkol in Kazakhstan, with C1 reserves of 8.7MBO
and C2 reserves of7.8MBO. Another acquistion is Tamdykol with potental
reserves of 34MBO, it also has interest in 2 blocks in the North Sea.
You can check it out on www.uk-wire.com, and its own site of www.victoriaoilandgas.com.
It has excellent management team led by Kevin Foo, who hopes to turn it into
a Mid Cap Company(500m+) in the not to distant future.
As i stated earlier in the post, Drilling is almost complete so it won't be long to Lift Off?

From a 10-bagger share to 2-bagger now. Miserable.

I for one am absolutely amazed people continue to hold their losers.
You don't make money in the stockmarket doing that!!

In answer to Big Al's comment, suppose you bought VOG at 70p. Currently you would be sitting on a loss of 30p. Approx 40%.
Sell, taking a 40% loss, which means you can invest the money elsewhere, BUT you still have to make up the 40% before you are in profit.
Hold, hoping for VOG to find oil, which means you do not have to realise a loss. If they find oil (in commercial quatity) the sp is more than likely to clear the 100p mark. Of course, the question is , how long do you wait?
Surely all exploration stocks are a 'wait & see' game up to a certain extent, plus drilling for oil in proven areas has got to be less risky than rooting around at sea trying to bring up the dregs of previous wells?

I'm always out well before I suffer a 40% loss, HARRY!! To even enter a trade expecting to be hit that hard should be unthinkable IMO.

Can anyone tell me what the current, net asset value per share of the c1 c2 reserves at kemerkol would be ?

surely NIL until such a time as the reserves are not only 150% proven but are also being extracted

as usual you aint a clue cynic............its probable, possible etc which is why little companies such as BP are valued.

so you reckon that something totally unproven has a nett asset value?
and if you are so clever, and you certainly like to portray yourself as such, why do you not answer the question?

you only have to answer geoffsh's question instead of wasting your incredibly valuable time on trying, rather pathetically, to badmouth me ..... or does one assume the obvious - i.e. you haven't a clue

Try the opposite tack. Maybe denouncing VOG in colourful expletives will push the sp in to orbit!

Victoria Oil & Gas Plc
Operational Update at Kemerkol Oil Project, Kazakhstan
Approval of test production project granted by Kazakh authorities
Well 62 drilling completed
Drilling commence at new target, Well 72
Victoria Oil & Gas Plc ('Victoria' or 'the Company'), (AIM:VOG), the oil and gas
company focused on the Former Soviet Union, today announces an update on the
development of its wholly owned Kemerkol oil project in the Atyrau Oblast of
Kazakhstan.
The Company's test production project for the proven reservoir in the western
section of the Kemerkol licence area has been approved by the Kazakh Ministry of
Energy and Natural Resources. This will extend the permitted production period
from three months to three years for all wells drilled in this area, which
currently includes Wells 20, 72 and 73.
Although, the marketing of all oil is still limited to the domestic market, the
project also allows the Company to process its production before sale. This
processing can increase the sale price by 10 - 15% and the majority of surface
infrastructure is already in place.
The project will also permit production to recommence at Well 20, which was shut
in to allow for work-over operations. The reactivation of this well will be
coordinated with a feasibility study for the conversion of Well 45, also
currently shut in, into a water re-injection well.
On the previously untested eastern section of the licence area drilling has been
completed at Well 62 and hydrocarbons were encountered at a depth between 367 -
370 metres. The interval will be completed and perforated for testing purposes,
but the Company does not expect to encounter commercially viable volumes of
hydrocarbons. The Company's mid-year production therefore, exclusive of affects
of the testing programme at Well 73, was 450 barrels of oil per day slightly
less than its target of 500 barrels.
The next target, Well 72, has been spudded and completion is expected in the
next 4 - 6 weeks. This well is located 300 metres north of Well 73 and will
further appraise the proven reservoir in the western section of the licence.
Tony Porter, CEO of Victoria Oil & Gas, said today, 'The approval of our test
production project for the western section of Kemerkol will lengthen the
permitted sales period for our production and allow us to add significant value
through in-house processing. As such, this is an important intermediary step
before we can upgrade Kemerkol to a full production and export licence.
Porter added, 'We will continue to pursue our goal of increasing reserves
through exploration of promising targets in the eastern part of the licence
block. Through Well 72 we aim to increase the yield from the proven structure in
the west and bolster our cash flow, but we shall then return our attention to
further exploration.'
