Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

stockbunny - 28 Jun 2007 16:37 - 16330 of 24230

LOL hadn't thought of that! Of course w-o-o-d-e-n b-o-a-t.......maybe we should tell him if we think he has got it...I mean it would be a bit rotten not to....

So are you here for the rate decision JS?
If so I'll sort some supper...

JStratford - 28 Jun 2007 16:45 - 16331 of 24230

Yeah. I'm going to hang around 'til the close. If it's a rotten boat then he's going to have problems regardless!!!

stockbunny - 28 Jun 2007 16:47 - 16332 of 24230

This is true but the additional 'help' from an over-enthusiastic a-x-e swinger wont help at lot LOL
OK food..........
baked salmon, rice with mushrooms, tomato and peas, bit of rocket and some crusty bread 'n' butter?

JStratford - 28 Jun 2007 16:53 - 16333 of 24230

Hold the mushrooms, but apart from that perfect as always :-)

KEAYDIAN - 28 Jun 2007 16:57 - 16334 of 24230

Pssssss Bunny, extra mushrooms for JS.

stockbunny - 28 Jun 2007 17:10 - 16335 of 24230

LOL ;>)

JStratford - 28 Jun 2007 17:12 - 16336 of 24230

K. You know where your own way there by now... you don't need to sit there with one hand in the air making silly noises. Just remember to wash your hands :-)

stockbunny - 28 Jun 2007 17:14 - 16337 of 24230

Ah hell it's worth doing the late shift for the entertainment content! ;>)

JStratford - 28 Jun 2007 17:25 - 16338 of 24230

We try our best Bunny :-)

Right. Apologies in advance, but it's rant time.
I hate text messages. One, you can't understand what they're meant to say. Two, if you don't recognise the phone number, you have no idea who it is. And three, you have to phone them back to sort anything out anyway, so why can't they phone you in the first place?
Sorry about that, but I've got three messages this week from pupils cancelling lessons, so I'm now going to have to phone round all my pupils to find out who's cancelled what.
Rant over |:-(

KEAYDIAN - 28 Jun 2007 17:26 - 16339 of 24230

And another thing..........

JStratford - 28 Jun 2007 17:28 - 16340 of 24230

There's plenty more K., but I wont bother. I just get slightly annoyed when I'm already in a bad mood before I start teaching.

stockbunny - 28 Jun 2007 17:29 - 16341 of 24230

I have a cure for that JS....don't have a mobile phone! I refuse to have one, if I go out shopping I want peace and quiet not Mum where's my shirt?! flush it down the loo!

stockbunny - 28 Jun 2007 17:32 - 16342 of 24230

Unless the Fed do something iffy, it could be a good evening on the dow :>)

JStratford - 28 Jun 2007 17:33 - 16343 of 24230

Unfortunately, it's the only phone I have, so I have it on all the time in case my parents need to get hold of me. I do ignore it most of the time, especially when certain people used to keep calling in the middle of the night.

stockbunny - 28 Jun 2007 17:36 - 16344 of 24230

Well you'll have to train these students to email you, at least then you will have an originating address - cheaper then having to phone if you have to go back to them.

JStratford - 28 Jun 2007 17:41 - 16345 of 24230

Tried that as well. Unfortunately that got to the point where a couple of pupils started to try to cross the boundries between what I felt was acceptable communication. The only good thing with email is that you can easily keep an exact record of everything that has been said. Believe me, teaching is not much fun these days.

stockbunny - 28 Jun 2007 17:43 - 16346 of 24230

No I can imagine.......I love my kids, love it when they have friends round but a room full of other people's kids who may or may not want to learn...isn't exactly my idea of fun! LOL

JStratford - 28 Jun 2007 17:46 - 16347 of 24230

A classroom of kids isn't that bad, it's when you're on a one to one situation that things can be difficult.

MightyMicro - 28 Jun 2007 17:54 - 16348 of 24230

You know, when this MoneyAM thing started, who could have guessed that one of the most popular long running threads on a financial market Bulletin board would be an imaginary cafe/bar run by a small, stuffed, woollen toy with a bell around its neck, itself owned by a charming chap with a penchant for pricey loudspeakers.

So what was that about the English being a race of eccentrics?

JStratford - 28 Jun 2007 18:03 - 16349 of 24230

But what is life apart from an imaginary scenario where we are but all players in a drama which no mortal man knows the ending thereof.
