MightyMicro - 29 Jun 2007 01:06 - 16363 of 24230

Well, I'm sure I don't know who the dissipated old f*rt is that's holding you, Lambykins, but it does look like Chocolat has had a few as well . . .

Socrates - 29 Jun 2007 07:51 - 16364 of 24230

Good morning. The tea and breakfast is all ready and I am going to have a double helping since I am rather peckish. I shall then have a bucket of sherry trifle.

Now, what's all this about the English being eccentric?

stockbunny - 29 Jun 2007 08:09 - 16365 of 24230

Don't ask me Socs!
Morning MM - it had been a long day yesterday, hence mistaking woollen with wooden cos by then everything was looking the same to me ;>)
Tea's up people - incident of national importance in the burrow today - the kettle has stopped working! This is a major issue - using an old gas kettle on the hob, it works as long as you decide you want a cup of tea 1/2 hour before you want it!

Socrates - 29 Jun 2007 08:15 - 16366 of 24230

Good morning Bunny, Since I have a cup of tea about every 30 minutes that won't be a problem.

Bluelady - 29 Jun 2007 08:16 - 16367 of 24230

Good morning stockbunny and Socrates (not certain if it's good night for Mighty Micro)

You could always use the urn in the imaginary coffee house stockbunny. Mind you, at least you will be able to get warmer using that gas flame. It was cool yesterday.

stockbunny - 29 Jun 2007 08:25 - 16368 of 24230

It's been on the cool side for days - sure its June? More like April!
Will be off to purchase a new electric kettle this morning, don't realise how convenient and fast they are until you don't have one!

Socrates - 29 Jun 2007 08:35 - 16369 of 24230

Bunny, odd thing about eccentric kettles, expensive ones don't seem to last five minutes but cheap ones seem to last forever.

Good morning Bluelady, how are we this morning?

Bluelady - 29 Jun 2007 08:36 - 16370 of 24230

Hmmm, I am very well thank you but who are you expecting to be with me at the moment, lol.

stockbunny - 29 Jun 2007 08:39 - 16371 of 24230

Socs - see thats the annoying bit, I've always bought the same pretty cheap Morphie Richards one for that reason, it just makes the tea and works well for years, but this last one has had a very short life really. Still I'll buy the same again but if it also lasts onyl a few years I'll have to re-think...

MightyMicro - 29 Jun 2007 08:43 - 16372 of 24230

Bluelady: It's good morning from him as well, I'm East of the Pond right now :)

Bluelady - 29 Jun 2007 08:44 - 16373 of 24230

And a good morning to you also Mighty Micro. Quite a lot of England can be described as a pond at the moment :0(.

stockbunny - 29 Jun 2007 08:49 - 16374 of 24230

Anyone trying to get into central London today - good luck, road closures apparently due to this 'thing' found in Haymarket.

Socrates - 29 Jun 2007 08:51 - 16375 of 24230

Bluelady, it's the "Royal" we. We is one, isn't one?

Bunny, how much is that costing per year, not a lot I'll wager considering how much use it gets.

Bluelady - 29 Jun 2007 09:03 - 16376 of 24230

Socrates, I would think the royal we, meaning one, would end up meaning yourself in the context of your sentence. Therefore you know how I am so I'll ask you how are you?

Thanks for that stockbunny. It's not just road closures but Picaddily and the theatre area affected. Drat!!!

stockbunny - 29 Jun 2007 09:04 - 16377 of 24230

Oh not a lot at all, it's just 3 years this one has lasted and that seems a tad too shorter life frankly! 5 years I'd put up with but 3....
