Good morning stockbunny and Socrates (not certain if it's good night for Mighty Micro)
You could always use the urn in the imaginary coffee house stockbunny. Mind you, at least you will be able to get warmer using that gas flame. It was cool yesterday.

It's been on the cool side for days - sure its June? More like April!
Will be off to purchase a new electric kettle this morning, don't realise how convenient and fast they are until you don't have one!

Bunny, odd thing about eccentric kettles, expensive ones don't seem to last five minutes but cheap ones seem to last forever.
Good morning Bluelady, how are we this morning?

Socs - see thats the annoying bit, I've always bought the same pretty cheap Morphie Richards one for that reason, it just makes the tea and works well for years, but this last one has had a very short life really. Still I'll buy the same again but if it also lasts onyl a few years I'll have to re-think...

And a good morning to you also Mighty Micro. Quite a lot of England can be described as a pond at the moment :0(.

Anyone trying to get into central London today - good luck, road closures apparently due to this 'thing' found in Haymarket.

Bluelady, it's the "Royal" we. We is one, isn't one?
Bunny, how much is that costing per year, not a lot I'll wager considering how much use it gets.

Socrates, I would think the royal we, meaning one, would end up meaning yourself in the context of your sentence. Therefore you know how I am so I'll ask you how are you?
Thanks for that stockbunny. It's not just road closures but Picaddily and the theatre area affected. Drat!!!

Oh not a lot at all, it's just 3 years this one has lasted and that seems a tad too shorter life frankly! 5 years I'd put up with but 3....

One is fine thank you Bluelady.
Bunny, 3 years is not bad for a cheapo kettle. When you consider that alongside what you spend on non-essentials like, food, clothing, internet etc., it's a bargain really.

True..I suppose....Socs
Bluelady - think Picaddilly tube is shut, all sounds a tad chaotic, no doubt more substantial news will come thru in a while today.

Morning Spacie - tried that several times but no joy, a replacement seems the only option.

I'll go along with Socco on this one, three years is a pretty good life for a kettle. They have a lot of power surging through them many times a day..wears them out....I know/knew the feeling :-)

Good morning spaceman, clever you pretending to fix it.
Stockbunny, it will be interesting then if there are no tubes operating. Still could do with a looooong walk, not.
Did you fix your kettle a few times or just try and turn it on a few times?

Bluelady, I didnt even have to pretend she just said thanks for fixing it, I just failed to elaborate... ;-)
