from bad to worse ....... 40p was a significant support (conversely now a resistance), and with that now broken significantly, this stock is well worth considering to SHORT ....... from being the market's darling only 18 months ago, it is now the pariah and it is not obvious from where its salavtion will come ...... arguable support at 30, but thereafter, nowt but the pit

I thought Well 72 was going to turn the company around.

sned - 07 Aug 2007 01:29 - 1648 of 2511

103 apparently

scottinvestor - 07 Aug 2007 10:40 - 1649 of 2511

considering all the doom and gloom here yesterday, its only about 2p down....big deal!

This time last year i was predicting big downturn, i got slagged off and suddenly share went up and i stupidly bought in as all the muppets here were against me, now i'm 7k down and patiently waiting.
Last time i take note of any rampers on a thread.

cynic - 07 Aug 2007 10:51 - 1650 of 2511

sorry m8, but see no good reason at all to leave your money in VOG ...... am delighted i got out at about 85/90 from memory, albeit with a hammering, but a damn sight less than i had i continued to hold

Falcothou - 07 Aug 2007 11:40 - 1651 of 2511

It's all down to 103. Isn't the drilling success rate for o&g meant to be 20%? If so by the law of averages it should turn out to be a gusher but that still remains a huge gamble and there is enough stock on loan to suggest it won't be though I do have a small holding.

mbugger - 07 Aug 2007 14:36 - 1652 of 2511

This is a dog of a share, until it hits a gusher.

lizard - 07 Aug 2007 20:37 - 1653 of 2511

scottinvestor- not really. try looking at the chart 265p ring a bell.

scottinvestor - 08 Aug 2007 17:50 - 1654 of 2511

YES I REMEMBER AS I TOLD EVERYONE HERE IT WAS GOING DOWN AND IT HIT 100P BUT I BOUGHT IN AT 115P BUT IT went to 150p before collapsing bit by bit.

bet u were one of the rampers........i got slagged off at time by 2 or 3 nasty people but this is 1st time i went on thread warning people. Now these people have buggered off.

lizard - 13 Aug 2007 12:19 - 1655 of 2511

re-103
does anyone know the record for testing?- i think vog have taken it. 9 months to test is a joke. the cash flow they have thrown away is ridiculous.

scottinvestor - 17 Aug 2007 11:32 - 1656 of 2511

TANKING NOW.

how much lower?

WOODIE - 17 Aug 2007 11:47 - 1657 of 2511

wont stop unless the company come out with an rns which was due 2 weeks ago the longer the wait the market will think the worst.

lizard - 17 Aug 2007 11:53 - 1658 of 2511

jokers!.

sned - 17 Aug 2007 12:06 - 1659 of 2511

if they are delaying the announcement, IMO thats a master-stroke! Let the dust settle, if you are in .... sorry, however you can top up when it has "tanked" and when the RNS comes ... hmmm yummy.
No use releasing good news in this kind of market, we saw that with CSR a couple of weeks ago, so look at the bright side.

WOODIE - 17 Aug 2007 12:08 - 1660 of 2511

does not look good with the next bit of news, the s/price down 20% today you would think there would put out a statement " we do not know the reason for the decline in the share price" unless of course they do know??????

sned - 17 Aug 2007 12:12 - 1661 of 2511

of course they do know, PANIC in the markets .... its all over!

cynic - 17 Aug 2007 12:23 - 1662 of 2511

VOG is/was an easy target given that they have not come up with any good news for ages ...... but the mark-downs acrioss the market are indiscriminate with very few bright(ish) spots - PFC and CSR have bucked the trend, though not with any truly significant gains
