Nostra Terra Oil and Gas Company plc (AIM: NTOG) is a fast-growing exploration and production company focused on emerging plays within established hydrocarbon regions of the United States.
During the last two years, Nostra Terra has acquired interests in Kansas, Texas, Colorado and Oklahoma, and the company will continue to expand and upgrade its portfolio by identifying, screening and investing in a diverse pipeline of upstream assets in these areas. Working interests will vary, ranging up to 100% in some cases, and will include both operated and non-operated projects. The company is especially focused on pursuing projects where added value and strong cash flows can be generated through the use of advanced technology combined with disciplined cost control.
Exciting new reserves of oil and gas are now being discovered and exploited within long-established US hydrocarbon basins. By applying the new drilling and recovery techniques developed in shale plays, operators are achieving dramatic increases in production and reserves from formations within old fields that previously were not thought to be commercially viable. The Niobrara, Bakken, Eagleford and Mississippian Chat resource plays are some of the most prominent examples, while there are literally dozens of lesser known plays emerging in the Permian, Anadarko, Arkoma, Piceance, Williston and Powder River Basins.
The key to Nostra Terra's growth strategy is the use of precision drilling technology, including horizontal drilling, combined with 3D seismic mapping, sophisticated log suites and multi-stage well completions to target and exploit compartmentalised reservoirs that were underproduced when the original vertical wells were drilled in these mature fields.

Nostra Terra Oil and Gas Company plc
Placing
Nostra Terra, the AIM quoted oil and gas producer with assets in the USA, is pleased to announce that it has raised GBP750,000 before expenses by way of a placing of 187,500,000 new ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the capital of the Company ("new Ordinary Shares") at 0.40 pence ("Placing Price") per new Ordinary Share (the "Placing"). The Placing was undertaken with existing and new investors.
The net proceeds of the Placing, which was arranged at a discount of just 10% to the underlying share price at the time and over 11% higher than the Company's last placing in September 2012, will be utilised in the drilling of further wells in the Oklahoma based Chisholm Trail Prospect with a portion going towards leasing in the High Plains Prospect in Texas.
The Hunton Limestone play, where the Chisholm Trail Prospect is located, continues to attract investment with companies established in the play accelerating their development plans and others entering or trying to enter the play. The Directors believe this, combined with 'forced pooling', is increasing the pace of development significantly.
Following positive results in the High Plains Prospect, which led to the Company increasing its stake to 20%, Nostra Terra has now begun reprocessing the proprietary 3D seismic data. It is anticipated that leasing will commence during the second half of this year. This should lead to the generation of several prospects, each with multiple drilling locations.
Collection of the Richfield Judgment is progressing and the Board looks forward to imminent collection of either cash and/or producing assets.

Nostra Terra (NTOG): Near Term Bear Traps
Published by: zakmir on 19th Jul 2013 | View all blogs by zakmir
Although Nostra Terra has been an interesting prospect on the fundamental front for quite some time, at least to date we have been treated to a rough ride on the technical front. This is said on the basis of a winding down from an initial spike for the shares since the beginning of the year, largely characterised by a consolidation since March either side of the 200 day moving average currently at 0.46p. This has meant that while bargain hunters may have felt like buying into this situation on several occasions in the recent past, there has never quite been enough on offer to cause sceptical bulls to pull the trigger on the technical side – until now.
This is said on the basis that July’s price action so far has witnessed four bear trap days from back below the former June support at 0.4p, while June / July price action itself has been a bear trap from below 0.42p support. All this should set the wheels in motion for an intermediate recovery here, if only towards March’s 0.55p – 0.6p resistance zone over the next four to six weeks. At this stage only a weekly close well below 0.4p would really suggest it is back to the drawing board for the buy argument.

Nostra Terra Oil & Gas (NTOG.L, 0.42p) - Speculative Buy
Nostra Terra Oil & Gas announced positive production results at the Chisholm Trail Prospect (CT5) located in Oklahoma, yesterday. The recent ten days of production at the fifth horizontal well in CT5 delivered an average production of 448 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd). Nostra Terra has a 2.2% working interest in the well. New well permitting continued at the CT5 Prospect, the company reported. CEO Matt Lofgran stated that CT5 added about 10 barrels per day to the company,s aggregate production and the decline curve at the prospect remained shallow. Our view: Nostra Terra has given strong initial production update for the fifth well at CT5. The average daily production of the well in recent ten days has surpassed the expectations of the Board. Earlier in the month, the company had submitted winning bids for some of Richfield,s assets, adding to its growing portfolio of producing assets. The company also participated in the sixth well at the CT5 prospect following better-than-expected production results of the previous four wells. Nostra Terra is generating strong production volumes and looks focused towards achievement of its target of 250 barrels of oil per day.
The company expects a significant increase in revenue during 2013, having increased its working interest in High Plains Prospect to 20%, and concluded its legal action against Richfield. The company is building an inventory of diverse prospects, both operating and non‐operating and transitioning to more operated prospects where they will enjoy more control of the costs and time scale.
We reiterate our Speculative Buy rating for the stock and target price of 1.25p.
