Deltex (DEMG)

grajul - 19 Feb 2004 13:39

Hi all
pretty new to all this. I have pumped some into Deltex - looks like a strong product with good growth. Could be a steady gainer.
Does anyone else have this, and anyone have some research on it? Someone with more experience than me!
thanks in advance.

Geekman..Hope you're right..I'm a bit more cynical...We haven't really seen strong evidence of a good frequent level of biggish deals or sales... If the actual results do demonstrate improved t/o & profits to match then I think the SP will make good progress... at the moment I do feel it's still a jam tomorrow situation

Arf Dysg - 18 Jan 2006 11:38 - 172 of 968

Jam tomorrow?
if you look at their sales, starting at 0.8 million in 1999 (earliest figures I have) to an assumed 3.1 million in 2005, it looks very much like a steady 25% growth in turnover per annum.
1999 0.8
2000 1.0
2001 1.3
2002 1.8
2003 3.1
2004 2.4
2005 3.1

That looks like a pretty good track record.

greekman - 18 Jan 2006 12:04 - 173 of 968

Skyhigh,

Yes, as you say no real evidence yet re deals but I do think that after the results are released this share will climb steadily, as will sales.
Also agree, Jam tomorrow. But the Jam is looking very good.

Ok...Lets have have some cream too !

Anyone have any comments on the acquisition of TECO? It looks interesting.
Could this be the start of a lasting rise? Something's given the share price a boost.
The fun is only just beginning.

skyhigh - 09 Feb 2006 16:19 - 176 of 968

Have no meaningful insight into the acq. however, as you say, it's seems to have given the sp a boost..onwards and upwards !

Arf Dysg - 13 Feb 2006 15:55 - 177 of 968

Good volume today... I'm jumping up and down with excrement.. oops, should that be "excitement"?

Go Deltex! Go Deltex! Go Deltex!

hangon - 14 Feb 2006 14:16 - 178 of 968

Not sure about Execs and others taking shares in lieu of cash - does this spell the need to conserve cash or was it a preliminary to buying TECO (no posting here, so I know nowt) - they have some Government approval recently so maybe this is the "boost" that others were hoping for.
The sp needs to rise a bit more (say beyond 25p) before these Execs can be sure their gamble has paid off.
Paying execs in shares whenever a sp falls 30% (let's say), is a good idea as it should concentrate their minds---
1) not to over egg the reality
2) to provide rising shareholder value

Re todays, news.

This is great news, now lets hope the NHS budget managers see the CardioQ for what it is. With the publicity that will follow questions should be asked if the CardioQ is not taken up. It has been proved that it saves lives ( the shorter time spent in hospital the longer you live ) and also it saves money. What more are they waiting for.
Due to the NHS lack of ability to make even the simplest decisions, don't expect any huge uptake. But it will come, slowly maybe, but it now ( imho ) looks inevitable. I am still looking to overseas for the real profits to be made.

grajul - 15 Feb 2006 08:45 - 180 of 968

anyone know when results are?

greekman - 15 Feb 2006 08:59 - 181 of 968

2005 interims 29th Sept ( so next 6 months may be March ) Finals 2005 were 29th June so probably same month. No notice re interims as yet.

greekman - 15 Feb 2006 10:18 - 182 of 968

It appears that with Evo jumping ahead of Scap and Kbc on the bid, the shares look in demand ( Kbc now upped there bid to join Evo on the bid ).
With fairly low volume this is starting to look as if there is a decent buyer in the wings. Hard to keep up the top 3 are now vying each other for your shares. All 3 have ticked up the bid within 2 minutes.j

greekman - 15 Feb 2006 10:59 - 183 of 968

Evo now dropped to bottom of the pile re Bid. I wonder if they have filled an order

skyhigh - 15 Feb 2006 11:08 - 184 of 968

Not sure but as a guide, last yrs were released 15th March

greekman - 16 Feb 2006 09:05 - 185 of 968

On L 2 it is starting to look a bit like yesterday, 5 of the 6 mm's have increased their ask/bid prices, with the other one holding steady. Also 4 have upped the sp within 4 minutes, another possible sign to an increase, ( again same as yesterday.)

Arf Dysg - 27 Feb 2006 13:52 - 186 of 968

Looking good! Someone likes DEMG. Offer 26.5, bid 24.75
Has someone got wind of some news?
The full-year results in mid March should be interesting.

greekman - 27 Feb 2006 14:33 - 187 of 968

Arf,

Yes, another nice tick up today. Can't find any reason, as you say results will be interesting. Also soon be another financial year. The NHS management, and the government can't be as bad in the comming financial year, can they, ( o'k probably yes they can ). They must see that every spent early on re CardioQ will save many pounds ( and lives ) later.

explosive - 28 Feb 2006 23:04 - 188 of 968

Greekman - post 187 very true, however lets not forget the NHS need to spend on eliminating MRSA first. Something CardioQ doesn't protect against.

I held these shares for some time before selling due to lack of confidence in the board to actully land sales. I do hope that one day they will come and like many I believe in CardioQ... Although Delex has many probally hundreds of medical reports backing CardioQ publicity focus continues to be in the wrong areas. Deltex and investors should target the press and media with CardioQ to build pressure on both the NHS and government to fund this ever needed technology.. The more people that know about CardioQ the better chance Deltex has of selling its product before its patient expires and cheap copies are launched into the market!

greekman - 16 Mar 2006 07:10 - 189 of 968

Just in.

Yet another example of cost savings that can be made.
Cost savings, taking into account the cost of the
Deltex Medical probe and the reduction in whole blood, blood products and
ancillary equipment used, but excluding savings from length of stay reduction,
were approximately 3,500 per patient.
'There are approximately 80,000 patients every year in Europe alone who could
benefit enormously from this approach if it were adopted as a standard of care,
and there is the additional potential for substantial cost savings at
hospitals.'
That's 280 million euro's. When will the powers that be wake up to this fantastic product.

When they stop investing in endless layers of middle management.
