i know, but they were specific about ESY because they reached their limits. i totally agree about calling on stocks if there is a fast mkt but if they are covering their bets by calling the MM then why the bloody hell are they imposing limits??? just seems unusual to me unless they have some very high CFD exposure and that effects their firms overall exposure to the stock.

never noticed that ESY ansd SEY were vitually the name mneumonic...wierd but true....

Maybe they do have a lot of exposure on ESY so that's why they went to call. Did you manage to get any more? I also noticed that on FWY, they've always had call to trade and I do think they have a lot of exposure on that one with private investors.

If it helps, have just checked Fins and they also have call on ESY.

mickeyskint - 15 Nov 2004 16:08 - 1723 of 7811

Just freed up some cash so what do I do with it. Tempted to top up with SEY but like the look of ESY. I think we'll see SEY move south in the next few days so is it the devil you know or what, or shall I just go on the piss.

A young strip of a lad then..............

They changed from imperial to Si units the year I did it, I had not got a clue.............

I still think in old money.........

Buy a dozen eggs,

a half pound of butter

a half huindred weight in spuds

half a yard of beer.........

Come to think of it, the whole country is still confused, it's not just me!

proptrade - 15 Nov 2004 16:16 - 1725 of 7811

grumpy old man....i have 35 year old friends who are just as bad. they still refer to mobiles as "portables" and have to check their business card for their email address. the worrying thing is that the worst culprit is a derivatives trader at UBS (i am NOT exaggerating).

mickeyskint - 15 Nov 2004 16:19 - 1726 of 7811

My boys look at me as if I'm daft when I talk about yards, feet and inches. They haven't a clue there all metric.

I blame the French.

Wouldn't let us join the Common Market, after all we did for them at Agincourt!

Wish they had stuck to their principles and kept us out!

We would have done better stuck in EFTA.

gavdfc - 15 Nov 2004 16:22 - 1728 of 7811

Delayed 1m trade just went through at 18.62.

Maybe IG think they will lose on ESY so not wanting to hand you their money Prop!

We did O grades up here, I sat them as well, don't know what they do now.

Half a yard of beer sounds just the thing for a Monday night!

mickeyskint - 15 Nov 2004 16:23 - 1729 of 7811

SWW

I agree 100%. Why can't they speak english anyway.

you hold a grudge for a just a while then!

what i don't get is WHY we have to conform to the european systems. i am all for ease of trade but let the bloody currencies float and reintroduce the fun of the arb when u travel. in france on saturday the damn euro was making the trip v. expensive.

seawallwalker - 15 Nov 2004 16:24 - 1731 of 7811

D'yer know, nearly the whole world drives on the wrong side of the road because of Napoleon?

He insisted that any country he occupied did things differently to the way it had always been done.

End result?

Lots of donkey cart crashes..........

And that's how salami was invented!

daves dazzlers - 15 Nov 2004 16:24 - 1732 of 7811
