The Times, Deal Of The Day,COMS -

Deal of the day: The interest in Coms was sustained after further consideration of a big contract with Mitie, an outsourcing company. In heavy trading, shares that changed hands for 3/4p late in April improved by 5.8% more to 4.125p, their best since 2010. With private investors piling in, brokers thought a push to 5p was on the cards for the internet telephony specialist.

Been here since 7am doodles ... bit volatile aren't they like being on a rollercoaster this morning.
All those wanabee day traders jumping in out in out and shaking it all about.
Should just buy a ticket then sit back and enjoy the ride.
Choo choo :-)

Just been thinking that skinny, a bit of calm would not go amiss, but I don't think we're going to get it.

This is partly what seems to be causing a lot of the excitement on the bulletin boards today - "Goverment announcement to spend £530m on broadband services". Expectation is that COMS will be a big beneficiary of that ---------------

Danny Alexander;
“This government has already committed to a £1.2 billion programme of public investment in fixed superfast broadband. I’ve seen first-hand the impact that our investment is making in smaller, rural communities, such as when I visited Rothbury in Northumberland.
It’s absolutely crucial, if we want to rebalance our economy that it’s not just the biggest cities that have access to the fastest broadband. Now the UK already has better broadband coverage, usage, and choice than Germany, Italy, France and Spain.
But we want to go further. So I can announce today that we are providing a further £250 million to ensure fixed superfast broadband reaches 95% of the population by 2017.”

I know what you mean about Twitter, I never thought that I would sign up and intend to be very disciplined about who I follow, otherwise you have an endless newsflow. I certainly don't intend to be tweeting much myself.
But it is worth being there just to get the updates from DB, which will start at the end of July. Why not NOW? No doubt too busy negotiating contracts.
His hashtag is @DaveBreith if you change your mind.

4PetesSake - I'm sure David Breith is well aware of the many potential pitfalls associated with CEOs posting comments on Twitter and he wouldn't be the first to put his foot in his mouth on there. I would prefer it if he stuck to the more conventional methods of updating his shareholders.

Nice intraday reversal - people buying on the dip this morning and volume picking up again.
