Bid rumour lifts Petroceltic International

Petroceltic International rose 0.58p to 6.58p as the oil explorer was identified as a potential bid target for Iberdrola, its 22.6 per cent shareholder.

wont be a takeover for a year or two..

Shares Mag says "With plenty of cash, the prospect of near term news flow as well as opportunities in the longer term, PCI looks attractive - particularly given it's lowly valuation - Buy".
Worth holding/waiting for drilling news, imo.

Climbed aboard yesterday.....in the nick of time it seems....will go above 10p when drilling starts !.

If these shares hit 23p when there was hope but no action, just think what could be achieved with hope and action!

Probably....I should not mention VOG again....but remember those RNS's with trillions of cubic feet of gas...that sent that company sky high....., might happen here.....with seven or more wells....does look like loads of news to come !.

This is really motoring...the herd are about to arrive....16 million shares traded today....crikey !.

RF ..... indeed remember VOG well, and it is now a "rubbish" stock at 4p ..... that said, VOG has/had somewhat different probs .... nevertheless, have put in a trailing stop which has nearly been hit, but will/would still give me a profit of about 1.65p per share, for which many thanks

Yeah, that was me. I pressed the wrong button & got the decimal point in the wrong place!

It seems there are a few sellers in the wings.

whichever way you look at it, buys outnumber sells by about 2:1, but that does not mean anything interesting is about to happen, for there's an awful lot of lemmings in this world! .... i shall be leaving my trailing stop in place and moving it upwards if sp warrants


update .... have just been stopped out, which is fine as a very respectable profit to bank on just a 4 day tenure

maybe .... depends how far it drops, but/and as it's friday there could be considerable profit-taking towards the close
