Up nearlly 15% today and I beleive there could be more to come.

Evil Knievil has tipped it on EvilCast and has bought in 100,000 worth of stock a notifiable interest. He rates the management very highly and says they are attracting all the big bookmakers to the online casino site including punters the likes of William Hill, Chandler, and Ladbrokes. The company are now running at a profit every month and should break into a yearly profit from the years previous loss very soon. The company also ownes in partnership with a Swiss firm Boss another casino site and by all accounts that is doing well.

Im looking at this one as a momentum play pretty high risk as there are competitors out there but I feel the management will give it the edge.

Please DYOR, and remember you are responsible for your own buying and selling actions.

cheers GF.

POKERS BOOM HITS ONLINE GAMBLING

A study has revealed that the recent poker boom has not only reached casinos across the world, but computers world wide too. A study completed by consulting firm MECN analyses one of the hottest topics in the gambling industry online poker.

As gambling reinvents itself constantly it seems online poker is the product that seems to be the current guarantor of future growth rates.

The success story of online poker began some years ago, and as Martin Oelbermann, co-author of the study, explains "Online poker is the perfect symbiosis of two mega trends in gambling: online gambling and poker."

What began as triumphant advance in the USA is now leading to a global poker wave on the Internet with tremendous potential.

- The amount gambled on poker websites around the world in 2005 is estimated to be more than USD 60 billion.

- More than 60% of the industry experts surveyed believe that online poker will be the dominant offer in online gambling in 2-3 years.

- 75% of the industry experts surveyed believe that the global annual rake/commission in the 2-3 years will be more than USD 4 billion.

Another important reason for the rapid growth of online poker is the increasing number of successful TV shows featuring poker, and as Martin Oelbermann explains, "When poker is on the air, it's the online poker sites that profit instantaneously." There are many examples of successful poker TV coverage, among them the World Series of Poker on ESPN, Celebrity Poker on Bravo, and the European Poker Tour on Eurosport.

Online poker has also gone up in the estimation of the global business and financial community. Betting heavyweight Sportingbet just recently bought poker site Paradise Poker for about USD 300 million. "Not a bad price for a site launched in 1999, but more than 53% of the experts surveyed believe this price to be appropriate investors just seem to love the online poker story," adds Martin Oelbermann. A statement that seems to be confirmed by whispers that PartyGaming/iGlobalMedia (PartyPoker) is planning an IPO with an estimated evaluation between USD 4 billion and 8 USD billion.

But the MECN study also points out that the online poker market will become a tougher market in the future. With decreasing revenues per active player and growing competition, the poker operators have to find successful strategies for the future. The industry insiders surveyed recommend as the most important strategies for the future the creation of poker networks, the entry into the market by more betting brands such as Ladbrokes, and the consolidation of poker sites.

When it comes to geographical expansion, Europe seems to be the place to go; 52% of the experts believe that Europe offers the greatest future potential for online poker. Market leader PartyPoker, for example, is planning to launch its presence on television throughout Europe very soon and already operates its site in one other language besides English, namely, German.

And agin from the other place. Next week will be very interesting, exciting and nail biting. Can't wait.

Since most of the shares were snapped up at around 2p, but the company's prospects have since increased, there is clearly a shortage of stocks. Not including Cantor's, Evil's and other recent buys, last count was 40 million in free float. Not a lot at all considering how much was traded today. Easy to see why the price is rising on big buy volumes. Basic supply/demand. Profit takers aside, I have not seen a significant dump in the last 2 weeks.

mickeyskint: you are a mega-hero. Your research is fantastic and, even better, you have posted it here. There will be demand for 40M shares on Monday! There are 40M shares in free circulation - and mine aren't available! So what on earth do the MMs do? What would I do? Mark the prioce up so much that it slows down the demand? Problem is, and I suspect there is a name for this theory (if not, I will patent it!) the more you put the price up, the more people will want to be in. Why should it stop when you see the mega-values on poker stocks? And GMC have the leading internet casino site plus a new poker site plus poker games. The world of investing has to be on board! Why are you so cautious bigbobjoylove? lol! Hope holders read this thread and DO NOT SELL!
ROFL! All the way to the bank!

Eric , have a read of "the online gamble" Shares rag.

vwrich - 26 Feb 2005 19:55 - 182 of 1117

im in for the long , still plenty more to come , a big demand again on monday, should see the other side of 20p.

EWRobson - 26 Feb 2005 21:54 - 183 of 1117

Maddoctor: "TA says short, soon" - don't get the reference. Brave to go against the trend on SBT (Sporting bet). So on-line gambling marhet will only increase from $8bill. to $10b out of market of $200b. Talking about an increasing share of an increasing market. SBT may, as they suggest, be having back-office problems in the US. Nothing to trouble GMC there: still a minnow but going places if the Directors can have the courage to see off any bid from SBT. Suggest we all stay on board and don't let go until 60p is reached.

Do you really believe this will op[en up flat Bob? You are suggesting you will get in at Fridays close?

bigbobjoylove - 27 Feb 2005 10:58 - 192 of 1117

no way!! Its a cheeky order and the only order i can do online over the weekend. Our club meets this afto,i'm printing off all the media stuff and am going to suggest we put an order up to 22.Without wanting to be stupid this could be 40p the next few days but i have to argue with the fuddy duddys who won't want an order in at well above offer even.
Personally i think they'll open up about 4 but too many mavis and ritas in the club who won't see the light of the small caps.

mickeyskint - 27 Feb 2005 12:04 - 193 of 1117

From the other place. Also interims are being reported on the 14th April.

worth reading the final results to end sept, in tandem with latest trade update.

for the year to sept...turnover was 7.5M in the 2nd half...5.5m in the 1st half (NB: since the 2nd half customer base has doubled - thus i think turnover is now running at c15M for the half).

Gross profit for the year to end sept was 868,000 - with most of this coming in the 2nd half.....NB: again with customer numbers having since doubled, i think gross profit for the current year could be in the region of 1.5M - 2M....thus delivering a small net profit.

if growth can be sustained, GMC has futher to go & Simon C's 50p target is not beyond the realms

LOL for Monday

JONNO1,

I was a little surprised at your assertion that casino.co.uk does not attract substantial punters. So I asked. And you are wrong.

Casino.co.uk has lots of players holding sums of the order of 500 on Blackjack hands and many who have had big five figure swings in fortune on the site. Indeed, I understand that GMC has better than industry average returns from visitors to its sites.

Of course, the significance of all this is identifying the gathering of momentum. I do not think GMC has anything to worry about.
