NIGHTHAWK 6 BAGGER ON DEBUT. (HAWK)

oilyrag - 12 Mar 2007 07:10

Pre IPO price 4p
Opening price on debut 25p
Floatation price 46p to raise 14million to extend Jolly Ranch
Current fair value estimate 114p
Market cap 70.59 million.
Value of Cisco Springs investments 98 million.
Value of Vogel investments 75 million.
Desparado trucking now Nightfox 250,000 for a 50% stake with partner Running Foxes.
Centurion Project Kansas, 150,000 for a 50% stake.
Jolly Ranch Colorado, 40,000 acres cost 356,000 for a 50% stake.
Cash in bank 7.75 million.

As this EPIC opens on AIM today anything could happen. On the one hand you have traders trying to cash in a sixfold profit. You will also have a clambering of traders after shares because, firstly they could only get 75% of their allocation because of demand. Secondly at 25p this company is still way under valued.

Profit taking .?? Now need positive news flows to underpin the SP including a statement with s

Apparently David Bramhill of Nighthawk is appearing/has appeared (9am and 3.30pm) on www.sharecrazy.com today on Board Talk.

Posted this on the TA thread on Friday at the request of BigTed. SP is sitting on the 50% retracement level now of 39p. Make of it what you will.

<img src=Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Not really a lot to go on in trendline world, I have drawn the main from admission (more or less) so worst case scenario is support at 32p, if it tanks, which I doubt it will. So, trying to judge the rate of fall, I would suggest a 35p support level.

In cases like this where a rapid move in the price action takes place, TA officionados often take one of two approaches or a combination of both. Clearly the SP will retrace at some point, but when it starts where will it stop? There is the popular 50% rule, ie, the SP will retrace 50% of the last move; in this case this is equal to 39p. The other approach is 33% and 67% retracement of the last move, the 67% level is absolutely critical, if it does more than 67% it is more or less assured that a full 100% retracement will take place. Well, the 33% has already gone (44p), so 39p (50%) is the next level to look for and then 67% which spookily enough is at 35p!!

Incidentally you may be aware that these percentage levels are derived from the Fibonacci numbers sequence (made famous by Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code) which forms the basis of Dow Theory and Elliot Wave Theory.

In summary then I don't see any reason to buy at the moment, look for support at 39p and then 35p.

HAWK also covered in t1ps Morning Call - by Tom W (value 94p plus - a cash cow) and Zak Mir (to go long once RSI is around 50 with potential 60p tgt).

Good RNS , lets see what the market thinks . 50p/ 55p ?

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Nighthawk Energy PLC said it has found commercial hydrocarbons in each of the seven wells drilled at the Cisco Springs project in Utah, US.

The company, which holds a 37.5 pct stake in the project, said its drill programme has been extended to include another 14 wells and the operator, Running Foxes, is seeking permission for 30 more permits.

Managing director David Bramhill said the cost of each well to completion and casing is about 140,000 usd and that payback should be rapid.

Nighthawk added that the construction of the Broadhead tap and pipeline, which is required for transportation of the planned increased production at Cisco Springs, is in progress

ptholden - 17 Jul 2007 09:44 - 186 of 1373

HAWK bounced off 39p, spot on the 50% retracement level of the last move, who says charting doesn't work? Problem is there wasn't anything to say it would :S

silvermede - 17 Jul 2007 10:37 - 187 of 1373

Pth, yep, although I'd say a well timed interview by David Bramhill on Board Talk, followed up by today's RNS caused the bounce.

Why anyone would want to sell at this time beats me, but I suppose a profit is a profit when its in the bank.

David's target is to increase the mkt cap to 250m and then sell out, so potential 4 - 5 bagger from here within 2 yrs.

oilyrag - 17 Jul 2007 15:10 - 188 of 1373

Topped up nicely today at 41p. New target of 250million market cap in 2 years would put SP at 1.61 per share approx.

Good RNS , watch the sp fly today .

REMOTEHELI - 24 Jul 2007 08:18 - 191 of 1373

A short flight indeed !

oilyrag - 24 Jul 2007 08:23 - 192 of 1373

Always does it, flies up profit taking tumbles down, new holders in price then goes up again. Maybe a short flight, but it hasn't landed yet.

silvermede - 24 Jul 2007 12:04 - 193 of 1373

Don't forget that the initial SP was around the 25p level, so only natural that people are taking profits on a doubling of the SP.

ptholden - 24 Jul 2007 13:33 - 194 of 1373

Funny old thing when Big Ted asked me for my opinion as to how far HAWK would retrace (and it was 50%) I initially drew lines on the HAIK chart and thought what a good short that would be, as it turns out it is, should have mentioned it! But HAWK going great guns now, well done chaps :)

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - A better-than-expected find at its Guanzhuang project led China Goldmines higher early on, up 19-1/2 pence to 129.

The AIM-listed group said the project contains inferred resources of 1.83 mln ounces, according to an independent estimate, and that an independent assessment indicates that the project's resources could be increased by a factor of 4 - 6 after further exploration.

The statement followed a report in the Telegraph this morning that China Goldmines had discovered up to 10 times more gold at its sites than expected.

Positive drilling results led Nighthawk Energy higher, up 3 to 50-1/2, as the group results from its Devon project in the US have substantially exceeded its expectations.

The US-focused hydrocarbon production company said it now plans to expand the appraisal and development programme to 54 wells.

REMOTEHELI - 25 Jul 2007 08:32 - 196 of 1373

Difficult to see why such good news should have little effect on sp. MM's? General market conditions? Profit taking?. Thought we would have this this one close at 50-51 with more legs today. Down 2% so far!

halifax - 25 Jul 2007 08:38 - 197 of 1373

Think they may have overdone the drilling RNS what we need is some news of actual production.
