VOG is presently drilling Well 104 in its West Medvezhye field, and expected to reach depth in 4 weeks from spud date of 30th June, that makes 27th July(this week).
Results of testing will be sometime mid/late August, with a positive outcome
it could be HUGH.
With estimates of 134BILLION cubic metres of GAS and 201 Million barrels of Gas
Condensate,it will be a Company Maker. The field is in the area of the largest gas field in the WORLD.
Other assets include Kemerkol in Kazakhstan, with C1 reserves of 8.7MBO
and C2 reserves of7.8MBO. Another acquistion is Tamdykol with potental

You can check it out on www.uk-wire.com, and its own site of www.victoriaoilandgas.com.
It has excellent management team led by Kevin Foo, who hopes to turn it into
a Mid Cap Company(500m+) in the not to distant future.
As i stated earlier in the post, Drilling is almost complete so it won't be long to Lift Off?

Interims within 10 days so new directors will give the good news then. IMHO.

fliper - 20 Feb 2008 19:08 - 1792 of 2511

required field - 31 Mar 2008 09:04 - 1796 of 2511

Good lord !, good news from dear old VOG...that makes a change !

Falcothou - 31 Mar 2008 09:57 - 1797 of 2511

Thanks for posting the news this morning scotinvestor! Should prove interesting

blanche - 31 Mar 2008 10:05 - 1798 of 2511

My God ill be back in profit if it keeps going like this. Come on my baby!!

cynic - 31 Mar 2008 10:09 - 1799 of 2511

though sp has undersatdnable jumped significantly, there may still be some very immediate upside if there are, as i suspect, an awful lot of short positions still in place

Falcothou - 31 Mar 2008 10:28 - 1800 of 2511

Bear squeeze, cynic! VOG has had nearly as many dusters as George W. Bush

HARRYCAT - 31 Mar 2008 10:31 - 1801 of 2511

No complaints from me either!
As the drilling program is very long term (up to 2026) it would seem likely that profit takers will see the sp drop a little sometime soon. Any thoughts as to where it will settle? Based on estimated reserves, sub 20p would now seem unlikely, imo.

Falcothou - 31 Mar 2008 10:36 - 1802 of 2511

Seems to be resistance at 30p so might be worth taking profits then, though depends on your timeframe

cynic - 31 Mar 2008 12:11 - 1803 of 2511

chart makes quite interesting viewing ..... you may be right about 30 being a potential resistance, but if this sharp rally has any legs, then 40 is likley to provide a much sterner test

cynic - 31 Mar 2008 14:03 - 1804 of 2511

volume today is huge ..... average is usually about 2m and already showing 9.5m

scotinvestor - 31 Mar 2008 14:10 - 1805 of 2511

is this worth buying again cynic?

i'm well down on them like a lot of people but could average down.....i actually saw rns this moring about 3 mins after it was released.....saw it went up 2p and thought its ok but nothing special....next time i looked its up 7 or 8p...too late

cynic - 31 Mar 2008 14:19 - 1806 of 2511

$64k question! ...... i really don't know, though i have taken a dabble, more with a view to making a quick turn than because i think that VOG will once more turn into a swan ...... though VOG seem to have proof (i hope) of commercial reserves, and the whole area is alleged to be bulging with both gas and oil, VOG have a bad record to live down

cynic - 31 Mar 2008 16:32 - 1807 of 2511

i came to the conclusion there was nothing of substance on which to hang one's hat, so having made a small but very acceptable profit (100 clear to be exact), i decided to bank it .... after all, if you found that sum in the street, you wouldn't drop it back in the gutter as being insufficient!

janetbennison - 31 Mar 2008 18:05 - 1808 of 2511

I have today sold one third of my holdings in the company at 27 and a quarter pence. I t will be very interesting to see if the price holds up. This is very positive news out today.

blanche - 31 Mar 2008 19:18 - 1809 of 2511

On this news the good old days could well come back! 50p in the short term who knows where after that. imho
