Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

Sea Lion alone, flow tested at the current P50 is worth 720p in the ground.
That excludes cash, Ernest, all other prospects etc........
Simple patience, wait, hold fully paid for stock and big rewards are coming.
Do not forget, all the same names were agreeing to sell at 90p, and again at 180p, and at 230p...... they were all wrong before and will be wrong again.

pp don't forget the environmentalist lobby, revised regulation is likely to affect future drilling.

halifax, RKH are not drilling in the GoM or the USA.

exactly so, and though south atlantic is a very harsh master indeed, the wells are not deemed to be that deep - and it'll be 5 years before any oil starts flowing

Brought some more today. Was keeping a pot of money in case the likely FOGL duster happens and there is a RKH dip for an hour or so, but then given I will probably miss a short term dip I decided to spend half the pot now and buy more as its back near 280p again.

If FOGL hit a duster, RKH will briefly take a hit, imo. Am thinking of putting a limit buy on the system, but can't decide the correct price. Maybe somewhere around 240/220p. If FOGL hits a gusher then it won't trigger anyway. Am unfortunately locked out of FOGL as not prepared to buy at 198p, so this seems the best way of taking advantage of possible bad news.

marky can't speak for harry but our opinion is some profit taking would be sensible after such a rapid rise in the sp,as you will no doubt agree there are still many questions to be answered. There is some potential upside but we would rather have some profit in the bank than risk a costly disappointment.

marky, I have never deramped a share & I take issue with your accusation. You have a vested interest in RKH & you are not therefore impartial.
I stand by my theory that any duster in the Falkland area has a temporary knock-on effect on all Falkland drillers. Should FOGL drill a duster I think DES & RKH sp will take a very short term hit. If that is the case, I will take that opportunity to buy more shares in those two.
As for looking foolish, locking a great deal of cash in to an oil driller over a period of years, if not decades, is very inadvisable, imo. You got lucky & I bet when DES hit their first duster your buttocks went into overdrive clench mode. Spread the risk has always been the sensible advice from seasoned investors.
Also, I still hold some RKH shares from 58p, so deramping is not in my interests.
marky, I assume you backed Spain in the W/C, which is why you are p*ssed off?? ;o)
