Earthport: Ready to fly (EPO)

jdubb - 04 Mar 2004 17:44

Some good news at last from this weeks Shares mag. Tim Freeborn revisits the company and altho no firm details are given about new deals he says they will be announced this quarter. I would think that this could be at the same time as the interim results are announced. I for one will be holding on cos they will fly sooner rather than later! ( 8.30% up today!)

EPO still has a lot to prove in my book, lots of promises but no agreements, still it could be worth several times the current price if these do come off, operating at only 1% of capacity there is plenty of room for growth. i think the current price is good long term value if the management delivers and that is the big question, will they?

bosley - 26 Mar 2004 13:17 - 19 of 706

ssanebs , any idea what the announcement will be about . im a recent buyer of epo and would like to know if news flow is going to be regular from now on?

jdubb - 26 Mar 2004 17:10 - 20 of 706

B

As the interims are on Wed 31st id say the RNS (if there is one!- look back at ssanebs past record of guessing!) will be saying just that- announcing that results will be out wed. Unless ssanebs is an "insider" which i doubt, how can anyone know when or what will be announced! If there is one saying new contracts signed-great, otherwise just wait till Wed.

astonvilla - 26 Mar 2004 18:22 - 21 of 706

Hi jdubb,

I was expecting the interim announcement on the Monday 29th as this is the forecast date on their web page. Where has the 31st come from? I agree with you why will there be two announcements within 2 days of each other.....

ssanebs - 27 Mar 2004 01:22 - 22 of 706

j.dubb

do you honestly think that people dont find info out before it is announced? the monday announcement will be regarding bridgewell. the other contract updates with results. my previous info was not guessing. tim freeborn met the chairman and he did not stick to his promised timetable just as he has not this time! even though i accept it is not totally in his control.

jdubb - 27 Mar 2004 09:03 - 23 of 706

S

Point taken! This from Todays Guardian;

Earthport, the Aim-listed electronic payments specialist, gained 4.3% to 3p on whispers that it has two contract announcements up its sleeve and is set to appoint Bridgewell as its new corporate broker.

My faith in you is restored ssanebs, ill never doubt you again.:)

ssanebs - you know a lot. Respect !

"ssanebs" - it is an acronym for something ?

jdubb - 29 Mar 2004 10:54 - 27 of 706

SS

Couldn't tell us when the results are really out then could you? No mention of them in that announcement!

ssanebs - 29 Mar 2004 11:42 - 28 of 706

31st

jdubb - 29 Mar 2004 12:34 - 29 of 706

SS

Cheers! By the way are you a holder or a bystander on EPO? Cant ever remember you giving your opinion on them. Do you feel they have potential or we barking up the wrong tree as it were?

ssanebs - 29 Mar 2004 14:59 - 30 of 706

yes, very large holder. on the basis of the deals the chairman is talking about it has great potential. timing of deals should improve... hopefully

jdubb - 29 Mar 2004 15:37 - 31 of 706

SS

Likewise, i hold several million. Hopefully these new advisors will remind the management that there are quite a few anxious shareholders out there who need to know abit more information than they have been giving out recently (ie F**k all.)

bosley - 29 Mar 2004 15:49 - 32 of 706

what happened to the expected announcements for this quarter , as reported by tim freeborn in shares mag after his meeting with the chairman?

ssanebs - 29 Mar 2004 16:20 - 33 of 706

once again tim has been let down by the chairman. But the announcements are coming and you will know more on weds

jdubb - 29 Mar 2004 16:58 - 34 of 706

B

Have a look at the current EPO BB over on ADVFN, then you'll come to realize that all is not rosy between us shareholders and EPO management, especially CEO Rob Cunningham, mainly for the very reason you have outlined. What they say and what actually happens are 2 VERY different things. Most worrying if i didnt believe in the unique product they have developed.

ssanebs - 29 Mar 2004 17:05 - 35 of 706

with bridgewell as the new brokers we should see an improvement

hannick - 29 Mar 2004 17:14 - 36 of 706

What do you mean ss ? Can the brokers influence the way in which news flow and management style at EPO is conducted ?

ssanebs - 29 Mar 2004 22:20 - 37 of 706

yes. good brokers make a difference. Bridgewell is broker and corporate adviser and they will work closely with epo. its upto the company to take the advise of the broker
