Petrofac - service supplier to oil/gas industry (PFC)

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=PFC&Si

On 3rd July PFC announced that it was trading well ahead of expectations. Not surprisingly, sp jumped but has now fallen back pretty much to the same level as before the announcement.

While perhaps not as exciting as finding the next Cairn, remember that in the goldrush days, it was rarely the prospectors who made the money, but rather the suppliers of the spades and tents and stuff - e.g. Levis if memory serves me aright.

Really flying this now...all time high soon ?

cynic - 02 Apr 2008 15:14 - 186 of 839

how very strange .... PFC is up 2p today, while WSM has been hammered (-170) for no obvious reason that i can see, and even WG. is down 9.5p

cynic - 03 Apr 2008 08:14 - 187 of 839

third time lucky perhaps for PFC to break into new all-time high ground ..... having started this thread, obviously i am a fan, so not entirely objective ..... however, very good to see sp continuing to tick up gently this morning .... i guess it's not impossible that a predator is sniffing, but don't buy on that basis

By the look of the chart we could have a spike up to just above the 600p mark !

cynic - 04 Apr 2008 10:28 - 189 of 839

annoyingly, sp still having probs holding above the 580 level, but this is one of my fave stocks and will hold

required field - 11 Apr 2008 09:12 - 190 of 839

6 level here we come !

cynic - 11 Apr 2008 09:33 - 191 of 839

600 per se is unimportant apart from presenting the usual "round number" barrier .... sp is already in new high ground, and thus in uncharted territory.

for that matter, so is PMO which i would also bring to everyone's attention (again!)

Well cynic..!, PFC...TLW...JKX...DGO...all rocketing today !, quite incredible at the moment !

cynic - 11 Apr 2008 11:58 - 193 of 839

PFC only has peripheral connection to other 3 .... neither WG. or WSM, who are in the same field, have moved much

required field - 11 Apr 2008 12:01 - 194 of 839

PFC has shot up (producer) and JKX also...at the moment banging on the 500p barrier..(these levels always seem to be barriers or supports).

cynic - 11 Apr 2008 12:49 - 195 of 839

PFC is NOT an oil producer ... it is a service company

mitzy - 11 Apr 2008 13:36 - 196 of 839

Wish KENZ would move .

cynic - 11 Apr 2008 13:45 - 197 of 839

in what has become a sea of red, PFC (and HAWK) stands out like a welcoming beacon ..... volume at this juncture is unexceptional, though there may be some incomplete significant buys to be logged ..... rationalisation suggests possible t/o approach, but that may be more my wishful thinking

required field - 11 Apr 2008 14:45 - 198 of 839

I think PFC produces as well though that is not it's main source of income !

required field - 11 Apr 2008 14:47 - 199 of 839

PS ; doing rather well !

mitzy - 11 Apr 2008 14:52 - 200 of 839

I am holding for the bid...750p anyone.

mitzy - 11 Apr 2008 14:52 - 201 of 839

I am holding for the bid....750p..?

cynic - 11 Apr 2008 16:00 - 202 of 839

volume still not showing as exceptional, but sp movement sure am very tasty! .... no news either, though if there is any, that could come after hours
