With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Gausie - if the above is true, then sorry, but that is cheap, nasty and underhand and you should be ashamed

Haystack - 06 Aug 2010 17:48 - 1835 of 6187

I don't think Gaussie had Clubman banned. He was pretty racists though. I do think he should be banned though, unless he promises to behave a bit better.

tabasco - 06 Aug 2010 17:52 - 1836 of 6187

Thanks for the mail Clubby. I'm sure you'll be back as Clubman3510.

Then there's another 6,489 IDs available before you have to go to 5 digits.

Gausie- 06 Aug 2010 10:25 - 1781 of 1834
I doubt that moniker will last long clubby. And they do have technology to lock your machine out of MAM if you give them too much grief. Suggest you tone it down it down a bit and toe the line for a while.

Ian cocked a deaf 'un"....lol

cynic - 06 Aug 2010 18:29 - 1838 of 6187

personally, i thought clubby was on the road to redemption, for there certainly was a period when even i had probs not taking offense ..... wikll he ever become vanilla? .... i sure as hell hope not, and equally i hope he'll be allowed back in here.

if the management would give a clue, i'll happily act as mediator in my usual statesmanlike manner - i am actually being serious about getting clubby back on board

Gausie - 06 Aug 2010 18:36 - 1839 of 6187

You guys do love a conspiracy theory.

Clubby dropped me a couple of farewell notes - all friendly and clearly not in the least pissed with me.

He was a fully paid up member - and so had access to the traders' room. His posts on today's traders' thread lead to his banning. And they were nothing to do with me.

But I doubt Tabby will believe any of this - he much prefers his fantasy world.

cynic - 06 Aug 2010 18:47 - 1840 of 6187

i discount 99.9% of conspiracy theories as proved by assorted posts on this board.
more to the point .... if i can be of any help in re-humanising the boy, i would be delighted to offer my services

tabasco - 06 Aug 2010 18:56 - 1841 of 6187

Gausieyou are full of shitand Cynic can buy if he wishesoff out now

cynic - 06 Aug 2010 19:01 - 1842 of 6187

i neither buy nor sell, for i'm not fussed .... however, i would very much like to see chumpy back on board

Gausie - 06 Aug 2010 19:04 - 1843 of 6187

Some minds are like cement.

Thoroughly mixed.

And permanently set.

Good weekend all.

Gausie - 06 Aug 2010 19:13 - 1844 of 6187

Clubby - if you're still about, drop me a note on the addy I sent you. have something for you.

tabasco - 07 Aug 2010 08:06 - 1845 of 6187

So Mr Slippery has turned Mr. Nice Guy Gausie has changed his mindhe all of a sudden wants to communicate with Clubby and be his matehow nice!.. Gausieyou postedHis posts on today's traders' thread lead to his banning. you also postedAnd you're right - Ian couldn't and wouldn't say anything to me about you. Now I think you all will agree that is thoroughly mixed and permanently set concrete self damming evidence that Gausie and his gnomes who always pop up togetherrun this showhis operations are simple fcuk with investors minds on stock we want to targetand get revenue at the same timenice work if you can get itClubby you are a fully paid up memberhopefully that is a big enough incentive for slippery to let you back onhe might even make references about myselfdont change your ways my friend.
Must look at the morning linesee if any of my work is on.toddle pip

Gausie - 07 Aug 2010 08:20 - 1846 of 6187

Tabby - Love the conspiracy theory, and I see it's now deepening as you string assumptions together and then, with fanfare, state a conclusion that is completely opposite to where the assumptions really lead. Your mind should be the subject of a research project into paranoia. I'd offer the grant.

My guess is that cynic will probably set you straight on what happened to Clubby.

But then, maybe he's in on it too?

tabasco - 07 Aug 2010 08:51 - 1847 of 6187

No go....never mind....

cynic - 07 Aug 2010 09:01 - 1848 of 6187

i don't actually know "what happened to clubby" as i was in transit from hamburg during yesterday ..... for sure clubby can be a total ass and i suspect (hope!) he doesn't actually believe some of the more preposterous nonsense he spouts - it's certainly not worth rising to anyway (world's biggest pillock ITLB should learn that lesson!) ..... i suppose some of more sheltered disposition can choose to take offense at what clubby writes on occasion - more fool them, but for general harmony i dare say it wouldn't hurt for him to temper his pen just a little, though not too much i sincerely hope ....

imo, clubby is a serious loss to this board, as we need characters who offer entertainment even when "in the best possible taste"

i hope ian/gausie (whoever) will hold out the olive branch to clubby and that he will not be too stiff-necked to accept it

tabasco - 07 Aug 2010 09:02 - 1849 of 6187
