ROC Oil say
Ceo Doran is keen to deliver some 50 million barrels of oil net to the market.
We are in plays where finding that amount of oil is possible, he said. If you are in China, Mauritania and Equatorial Guinea, then you can definitely find 50 million barrels.
Theres just one issue niggling Doran. The areas where we have large equity are the areas where the fields are small to modest, said the Roc boss. The areas where we have small equities are where the fields are big, like Mauritania.
Even so, a small percentage point of the possible 4 billion barrels touted to lie in the Mauritanian acreage is still a company-making amount of oil...
Company making for ROC, Company transforming for SEY!
There, sleep on that!

Hello all and dave.
Missed all that here, rained cats and dogs, but now pretty dry.
I think bprg will sort out today.
That is the sort of buying opportunity we would have all wanted yesterday, rumour on day one, shorting day 2, tradingstatement at end of day 2, and todays rise, already 9ish according to stockwatch.
Nice.
Back to SEY, quite a bit for people to catch up on, and no recipes.
Lets see what happens now all doubt has been removed concerniong the placing!
This needs a little bit more news from the EGM, but what we have looks very positive.

ROC reports another big oil find at TIOF-3.
It's on their web site.
As it's a pdf,. I can not enter the document to edit.
As far as I can tell, we do not have this information previously, so Tiof 4 & 3 both have over 100 metre oil shows.
Its in the opening bullet points of a document prepared today.

Here is what we had after the last rns.
Tiof-3 Appraisal Well - PSC B
Progress and Current Status:
Since the last report (9 November 2004) the West Navigator continued with
completion operations in preparation for flow testing. During the course of the
week some mechanical problems were encountered which have delayed the flow test.
At midnight GMT on 15 November the operator was continuing preparations to flow
test the well.
Well Location:
The Tiof discovery is located approximately 90 kilometres west of Nouakchott,
the Mauritanian capital, and 25 kilometres north of the Chinguetti Field. The
Tiof-3 well is located approximately 4 kilometres west of the Tiof-1 discovery
well. Water depth is 1,198 metres.
Well Details:
The Tiof-3 well is intended to appraise the Tiof oil discovery. The well will
further evaluate the Miocene channel sand system within the Tiof Field area as
interpreted with 3D seismic.
Columns of oil not mentioned.
I still think this is new.

Here guys, a copy of ROC update
US$13.6 million debt was repaid in July leaving ROC debt free and with cash assets of
$90 million at 30 September 2004.
Production of 2,741 BOEPD was down 11% on the previous quarter, largely due to
scheduled annual maintenance shut down at the third party owned gas processing plant.
Revenue of $8 million was down 5% for the same reasons as the decline in production,
although the decline in revenue was mitigated by higher gas prices.
A two vessel drilling programme commenced offshore Mauritania which will result in 21 wells
being drilled during late 2004 and early 2005.
The Tev-1 exploration well offshore Mauritania encountered a significant oil and gas
accumulation which is likely to be regarded as a potential candidate for development via a
subsea tie back to the Chinguetti Field.
The Tiof-3 appraisal well offshore Mauritania intersected a 134m gross oil column, 4.2km
west of the Tiof-1 discovery well and 3.6km east of the first Tiof appraisal well.
Development of the Chinguetti Oil and Gas Field offshore Mauritania continued, as the Cliff
Head Oil Field offshore Australia moved towards a Final Investment Decision at the end of
January 2005. Offshore China and in the UK North Sea the Wei 12-8 and Blane oil fields are
both the subject of predevelopment studies.
Planning was initiated for up to four exploration wells and two Cliff Head early development
wells scheduled to be drilled in ROCs permits in the offshore Perth Basin commencing
December 2004, subject to rig availability.
Plans for drilling the wildcat Errington-1 well onshore UK came to fruition during the Quarter,
ahead of a 6 November 2004 commencement date.
