are any of you still in victoria oil and gas, and if you are they are taking forever to resolve this ongoing court case. what do you think?

cynic - 28 Aug 2008 20:31 - 1868 of 2511

shall resist the temptation to return compliments to scottinvestor, tho it is surprising how often what goes around comes around.

janet - i am sorry to see you so badly burnt (again)

janetbennison - 28 Aug 2008 21:34 - 1869 of 2511

same old story. I am pleased to hear from you, and I hope you are doing well.

cynic - 28 Aug 2008 21:39 - 1870 of 2511

many thanks ..... slowly recovering from a bad mauling a couple of months back.

janetbennison - 28 Aug 2008 22:28 - 1871 of 2511

do you work with animals richard and if you do which breed of animal mauled you. I believe this would have been extremely frightening especially if by a lion or tiger. I hope you are now well.

scotinvestor - 29 Aug 2008 03:33 - 1872 of 2511

who is richard?

hi cynic.....u have short memory

cynic - 08 Jun 2006 13:32 - 708 of 1871
scot ...... 130 on the basis of what? ..... and if 130, why not just 30?

i was only person downgrading sp at that time and being lambasted for it especially by you.........not sure why u r bringing up sp now as its been quiet for long time.

good luck on your other shares anyway, cynic.........and quick recovery from that nasty lion by all accounts according to janet

cynic - 29 Aug 2008 08:32 - 1873 of 2511

more recently - i.e. 25/4/08 - i topped up at 80p in past to make it 115p ... now i wonder who wrote that?

and of course if that same smart investor (whoops! - did i nearly write smartarse? surely not) was so prescient, why did he not at the very least lock in some/all of his profits instead of watching in stupefaction as his then-millions vortexed down the drain?

scotinvestor - 29 Aug 2008 11:38 - 1874 of 2511

i never made profits on this cynic......i eventually took everyone advice on this....including yours i hasten to add.....as i was only one here who wasnt bullish on it and with everyone like you etc all extremely bullish i decided that not everyone could be wrong...last time i will buy on peoples opinions again...anyway as soon as i bought, it fell a bit, drifted, fell etc.

anyway good luck on your other shares......i hope they recover.....well done on iec by the way

cynic - 29 Aug 2008 11:49 - 1875 of 2511

thank you ...... bought PFC this morning as well as SHP ...... am quite tempted by ASC but can't work out fair price for that one

required field - 25 Sep 2008 08:41 - 1876 of 2511

What on earth is this company up to : they have not got their own house in order......never mind bidding for a company in Africa.....2p target ?.

WOODIE - 25 Sep 2008 08:46 - 1877 of 2511

it stinks foo is on the board of both companies.

required field - 25 Sep 2008 08:52 - 1878 of 2511

Very fishy that's for sure.....this company is not exactly Tullow oil or Addax petroleum who can afford to be spread out across the globe !.

cynic - 25 Sep 2008 08:56 - 1879 of 2511

they are also looking to buy BML, unless that is the company you mean .... if so, that is not an African company, but one (from memory) with whom they are working to develop a current VOG site

WOODIE - 25 Sep 2008 08:58 - 1880 of 2511

cynic yes same one foo on both boards bml & vog.

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - "Victoria Oil & Gas Plc. said the High Court of Justice in London has ruled in its favour in the claim against its subsidiary by Olga Elefteriadi for breach of warranties under the sale and purchase agreement signed between her and the company.
Damages for the breach will be established in due course. The group expects the amount to be at least 8.5 million pounds.

The AIM-quoted oil and gas exploration company also said it has been granted an injunction in Alberta, Canada, against Elefteriadi, Saga Creek Gold Company LLP, the previous licensee of Kemerkol and its parent company, Alhambra Resources Ltd.
This injunction prohibits the sale or transfer of the Kemerkol licence in Kazakhstan to any third party until further notice. The injunction was obtained after the company received confirmation that Saga Creek had applied to the Kazakh Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for permission to sell the licence.
It added it is continuing to prepare its appeal to the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan."

moneyplus - 01 Oct 2008 16:24 - 1882 of 2511

Nice rise today---press comment should now be favourable.

TheMaster - 17 Oct 2008 13:43 - 1883 of 2511

VOG won the court case, there is an appeal, but should be dismissed later this month, 8.5 million to be awarded.

"Alhambra's motion to dismiss the litigation for lack of jurisdiction in
favor of arbitration in Stockholm, Sweden in accordance with the United
Nations' Commission on International Trade Law arbitration rules for
international arbitration as provided for under the Agreement was dismissed by
the Kazakhstan court. Alhambra is now appealing this ruling. The court has
adjourned this case until October 29, 2008 at which time the court will review
Alhambra's motion that the applicant's claim should not proceed for reasons of
procedural irregularities and the court may also hear the applicant's claim at
that time."

"The Board of Victoria Oil & Gas Plc (AIM:VOG) announces an update on its discussions with Bramlin Limited ('Bramlin')(AIM:BML) concerning a possible offer, which was announced on 23 September 2008.

The Boards of VOG and Bramlin have signed a non-binding Heads of Agreement ('HOA') covering an all share acquisition of Bramlin by VOG. The HOA contemplate an offer proceeding by way of a Scheme of Arrangement, which would need the approval of the Guernsey court and the shareholders of Bramlin.

The principal asset of Bramlin is a 60% interest in the on-shore Logbaba gas exploration and development prospect in Cameroon ('Logbaba'). A report by independent reserve auditors RPS Energy as of 28 July 2008 concludes that Logbaba has gross proven and probable reserves of 104 billion cubic feet of natural gas. Currently, all energy demand in Cameroon is satisfied by high cost liquid fuels and Bramlin has already executed a number of off-take agreements for more than 6 million cubic feet per day for natural gas from Logbaba with local industrial users.

The Board of VOG, after consultation with its technical consultants, Blackwatch Petroleum Services Limited, believes that Logbaba is an excellent asset with near-term cash generation potential and that a geographical diversification of activities is in the best interests of the shareholders. The project will also give VOG exposure to the increasingly growing domestic natural gas market in Cameroon.

Rashed S.J. Al Suwaidi, Vice Chairman of VOG said today, 'We believe the acquisition of Bramlin offers access to growth opportunities and we look forward to working with the management of Bramlin to develop the Logbaba property. The project has proven gas reserves with material upside in a region with a growing demand for natural gas. This deal will also provide VOG shareholders with a wider geographic exposure, into Africa, and a specific opportunity for early cash flow from an excellent project."

Why would anybody want to buy VOG?
Early cash flow? Is that a joke? It has also said the same with West Medvezhye field and also Kemerkol previously.
