BLINX and you've missed it, the next google multi bagger!!! (BLNX)

Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

my apologies to blinx investors.
if t wishes to continue conversing i would suggest a neutral thread.
the talk to yourself thread would seem to me to be a reasonable one.

i dont!

Gausie - 08 Aug 2010 16:25 - 1875 of 6187

Hey Tabby - you seem a tad bitter. Has somebody upset you?

jkd - 08 Aug 2010 16:31 - 1876 of 6187

wrote my post prior to reading above response. they, the posts, must have "crossed" in the ether.
nonetheless it still remains remarkably appropriate.
amazing.

I must say I'm a little surprised at Cynic's support of the Clubman chav persona. I've also received a MAM email form the oik in question which I won't bother to paste, suffice to say it's along similar lines to his usual low-life posts, I do wonder sometimes what makes these people tick.

As far as you're concerned Tabasco, I think you're somewhat deranged rather than inherently nasty. There is no anti Blnx club, at least not on this site, in fact quite a few traders have spotted the opportunity to make money on the back of this rise and no doubt some will make money on the short side when similar opportunities arise. I still follow the MDX saga with interest and if there was ever a ramped up stock, it's close to first place (from the founder down to the BB poster). I can also see the similarities between the many bullish (ramping) posts on ADVFN and some of the comments made on here by you; I refer to the 'I have more knowledge than I should' for instance. Well, if you do have such knowledge, you are guilty of insider trading, plain and simple. I doubt even you are that much of a 'thicko' to admit that! So, in simple terms you have no more knowledge than is available in the public domain and once again prone to ramping ways. Or perhaps you're so desperate to be accepted on this BB, you are somewhat prone to exaggeration? Who knows? Incidentally, I know I am superior to no one, ater all, are we not all equal? Oink oink

Oh, and I also find jkd's post quite fun in a strange enigmatic way. Perahps that makes me part of a scam gang? I don't know, one day, maybe I will.

cynic - 08 Aug 2010 16:42 - 1879 of 6187

peter (and others) - it seems i am considerably more tolerant than most of you guys; arguably a sign if advancing years, though others say it has made me even more cantankerous.

for sure clubby could voice some appalling prejudices, but i seriously wonder quite how much of them even he believes ... after all, he has a thai wife, loves living in that country (for whatever dubious reasons) and looks to have an element of the orient in his own make-up too ..... my suspicion is that he feeds off the oxygen that some of you choose to give by rising to the bait instead of just ignoring or mocking him ....he certainly gave up trying to taunt me, for he knew he would get no change.

on the positive side, he also posted some very entertaining stuff, and some of it arguably quite useful.

for myself, give me characters over the prosaic, and at least an attempt at wit over the rabid loons (i never mentioned itlob did i now!)

ptholden - 08 Aug 2010 16:47 - 1880 of 6187

Richard, it down to my own advancing years I have less and less time for the lunatic fringe! It's more fun watching a squirrel hanging upside down from the uppermost branches (twigs) of a tree and wondering why he doesn't fall off! Now that is enigmatic :)

cynic - 08 Aug 2010 17:18 - 1881 of 6187

watch them working out how to get into a squirrel-proof bird-feeder - now that IS fascinating

is clubby a lunatic? ..... no, not at all, though he can be a total arsehole for sure ..... for loonies, go to the loony thread - aka gaza ..... they're so raving mad (or are they raving rabids?) that they think they're sane

tabasco - 08 Aug 2010 17:29 - 1882 of 6187

As far as you're concerned Tabasco, I think you're somewhat deranged rather than inherently nasty. thanks PeterI take that as a complement then? And Peter the lunatic fringe are sometimes a laughlolCynicdont ever change mateand thank you for trying
Just one pointhave any of you noticed that when I mention Gausie and his AM scamall of a sudden a number of closely associated posters all tune infunny that?must be just a coincidenceis haystack about to show?when you back clubby?

ptholden - 08 Aug 2010 17:31 - 1883 of 6187

Go on then, do tell, what's the scam? I'm agog with anticipation

tabasco - 08 Aug 2010 17:43 - 1884 of 6187

Peterif you cant see how Gausie operatesthen perhaps you should have the coveted thicko title

ptholden - 08 Aug 2010 18:04 - 1885 of 6187

I have never professed to being clever, I just don't advertise the fact I'm not, which if that means I'm a 'thicko' so be it.

But you didn't anser the question, what's the scam? I'd ask Gausie, but I don't think he can tell me. I guess if you don't answer the question, we're well and truly into the realms of paranoia.

cynic - 08 Aug 2010 18:25 - 1886 of 6187

from a stance of ignorance from the off, but as gausie said, there is certainly a love for presuming conspiracy on this BB when something goes awry ...... i rather suspect that clubby just let himself be led into some stupid indiscretion, which is completely different from a conspiracy or a scam

by the way tabby, peter is actually a really nice guy, and an awful lot more intelligent that you choose to him credit for - he is one of very few from this board whom i have met, so i talk from hands-on experience (well, peter is a sailor!)

tabasco - 08 Aug 2010 18:31 - 1887 of 6187

Hence my post Cynic Peteras I said you are not squelched I have a lot of respect for what you have achieved

Gausie - 08 Aug 2010 18:44 - 1888 of 6187

Thanks Cynic, pth - I owe you each a ride in one of my fancy silent black helicopters. Remind me, after they're back from operation Gillingham.

ptholden - 08 Aug 2010 18:44 - 1889 of 6187

FFS Richard, I've spent years building up a condescending, arrogant persona and in one post you blow it out of the water! At least tongues were not involved!!

cynic - 08 Aug 2010 18:54 - 1890 of 6187

blow what out of the water - and with a sailor too!

gausie - was my guess from ignorance along the right lines, for i really have no idea what caused clubby to be exiled?

tabasco - 08 Aug 2010 18:58 - 1891 of 6187

Gausie breaths a sigh of reliefCynic/Peter playing gamesand I shot down a number of Black helicopters around St Katherines Dock.and enjoyed my time doing it.

Gausie - 08 Aug 2010 19:21 - 1892 of 6187

Cynic

He dropped me a note to say Tabby got him banned. He's very pissed off about it all.
