Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

OK, Prosels and Marky have done well on this stock, but why keep on posting the same stuff over and over again.....? that's what paid rampers do....don't tell me ...in 5mn we will be reminded about the directors buying stock again....

Balerboy - 07 Jul 2010 09:34 - 1916 of 6294

RF

I stared this thread years ago as I believed that RKH would be successful in finding oil and the share price would rocket and keep other posters like your self up to date with what is going on round the Falklands and with RKH

Myself and pro are both very positive on this stock and can see the share price a lot higher than it is today and give a good explanation why we think that.

I find your comments insulting especially when many hours have been put in on this thread and maybe a good idea that you squelch my self and pro then you wont have to listen to 2 paid rampers who repeat everything.

Proselenes - 07 Jul 2010 10:13 - 1919 of 6294

The link is a new article from the Mail, which simply highlights what the media was saying TODAY about the directors buys in TODAYS paper.

EG

.........Directors of Falkland Islands oil and gas explorer Rockhopper Exploration up 9.75p at 307.75p have seen the shares soar almost 800pc over the past year but still believe there is plenty more to go for........

marky, ignore RF, lets not forget RF was screaming sell RKH at 90p levels - saying it was too high and overvalued..... LOL :)

Proselenes - 07 Jul 2010 10:16 - 1920 of 6294

marky, also remember many people have sold RKH for CGT purposes and are still waiting for the 31 days to end so they can buy back.

Other have sold RKH expecting bad news on FOGL to cause a dip on RKH.

All of these people do not want the price to rise until they buy back in.................. ;)

HARRYCAT - 07 Jul 2010 10:19 - 1921 of 6294

What's a 'Paid ramper'? Sounds like an easy way of making money to me. More details please!

Proselenes - 07 Jul 2010 10:27 - 1922 of 6294

Harry, its anyone who is posting in a positive way, but not on GKP.

On GKP you would not be called that, you would be called a hero by RF..... ;) LOL

Such is the fantasy in some peoples minds................

chav - 07 Jul 2010 12:29 - 1923 of 6294

More to the point marky, why does RF keep looking/posting on this thread if he's out? I presume he's out cause why would he get annoyed with people trying to work the sp upwards???? Perhaps marky and Pro should pop onto the GKP thread and try and reverse the sp trend there!

cynic - 07 Jul 2010 13:29 - 1924 of 6294

no reason why he should not - but then i post on many threads where i do not hold

chav - 07 Jul 2010 13:45 - 1925 of 6294

Indeed you do cynic!!!!

Proselenes - 07 Jul 2010 15:24 - 1926 of 6294

Moving nicely now.

Proselenes - 08 Jul 2010 05:32 - 1927 of 6294

Strong end to to the day yesterday with some decent sized buys going through.

The rig should be back under RKH control in the coming week or two and perhaps the flow test equipment is now on site (given the FOGL delays) and we can look forward to the Sea Lion flow test next.

Will be great on success, with Rockhopper grabbing the headlines worldwide with the first ever "proven commercial" oil find in the Falklands, and also the potential for a serious size upgrade.

On the size aspect the present P50 242M barrels recoverable is based on around a 15% recovery rate, however, since that last report we have had the oil analysis which says viscosity is better than expected. So if the flow test is good and the data they get is good, we could see the recovery %'ge be boosted up.

EG if there is a 750p per share value post flow test pre-development for Sea Lion with 242M barrels recoverable at 15% recovery......

Then if the recovery percentage were to be upgraded to 30% then you would see 484M barrels recoverable be the new size, with a value of 1500p per share pre-development (ignoring dilution)

And of course those figures ignore everything else the company has, like Ernest, Fox, Stephens and many other prospects..... :)

required field - 08 Jul 2010 08:28 - 1928 of 6294

Pretzels, Marky.....I don't mind your posts at all, except for repeats....and I was not screaming at 90p....just banking a profit at 98p....in with a few at the moment....got to keep on reminding everybody about that...childish !.

aldwickk - 08 Jul 2010 09:47 - 1929 of 6294

I sold at about 88p so did TFH , but I now hold 4 times as many as my first purchase because i have been adding as the news as got better and the risk less

So there is no need for people to be smug about not selling at say a 100 % profit in just 2 weeks like i did, and R F i think did. It just shows that they are reckless investers and lucky that this time they didn't loose nearly all their money.

Proselenes - 08 Jul 2010 11:55 - 1930 of 6294

And likewise there is no need for people after they sell to start screaming and shouting about how overvalued the price is and they have sold, and keep on posting about how its so overvalued as it rises upwards.

And also there is no need to call those of us in from below 40p who are still holding and not selling any, those of us very bullish on RKH, the things that RF keeps posting.

A little respect goes a long way, and stops all these slanging matches.

2517GEORGE - 08 Jul 2010 12:14 - 1931 of 6294

I thought the aim of everyone here and other boards was to make money, there are bound to be differences of opinion, ie bulls and bears, instead of resorting to slanging matches, why don't all parties concerned channel their views with the intention to elicit reasons for their bullish/bearish views. Thus making a balanced view on which to base any decision to buy/sell or hold. Without wishing to offend anyone, I believe this is, in the main what Markymar and Proselenes have tried to do.
