Proselenes - 13 Aug 2011 04:53

.

hlyeo98 - 17 Sep 2012 08:07 - 1919 of 2393

So it only found gas but no oil...

HARRYCAT - 17 Sep 2012 08:08 - 1920 of 2393

The market wanted oil. 61p to sell atm.

Balerboy - 17 Sep 2012 08:12 - 1921 of 2393

hope you haven't got burnt too much rf.,.

cynic - 17 Sep 2012 08:13 - 1922 of 2393

just goes to show that none of us knows diddlysquat! ...... along with everyone else, i thought sp would surge, but it is clearly Australian!

required field - 17 Sep 2012 08:13 - 1923 of 2393

Picked up some more......market is wrong : this is a good result with everything to play for....I thought it would drop because this country is nuts anyway.....but now when the real value emerges....the sp will recover for Scotia......you can't win.... probably a commercial gas discovery in large quantities and the sp drops with a now proven system....nuts...

HARRYCAT - 17 Sep 2012 08:15 - 1924 of 2393

"market is wrong".........that's a brave call rf. A bit like betting against 'the House' at the casino!

Balerboy - 17 Sep 2012 08:16 - 1925 of 2393

oh dear :(

hlyeo98 - 17 Sep 2012 08:17 - 1926 of 2393

It's a disappointing RNS... that's all.

required field - 17 Sep 2012 08:17 - 1927 of 2393

Now the sp is recovering....like I said....

required field - 17 Sep 2012 08:18 - 1928 of 2393

Get a life hyleo....

cynic - 17 Sep 2012 08:25 - 1929 of 2393

i also think the market has it got it wrong and have bought a smallish amount at 65.25 ...... if the market is indeed wrong in its interpretation, then i'll make a few beans, and if the market is right, then the reverse, but risk/reward at this level look ok to me

required field - 17 Sep 2012 08:26 - 1930 of 2393

This is going to climb Cynic ahead of Scotia.....going to very, very interesting from now on....

required field - 17 Sep 2012 08:28 - 1931 of 2393

Those that sell or have sold will regret it !....

chuckles - 17 Sep 2012 08:36 - 1932 of 2393

Required Field, you're forgetting very quickly that this was marked down already about 25-30% from the flash crash last week. I've no idea what the market will make of the news today but it seems inclined to fall further, but early in the day. I always said gas wouldn't be well received but of course proramper termed me a muppet for saying so. Seems to me you've become attached to this share, emotion isn't good in this game.

markymar - 17 Sep 2012 08:36 - 1933 of 2393

Still holding and also topped up another 15,000

required field - 17 Sep 2012 08:41 - 1934 of 2393

Marky...I'm delighted that a and I say perhaps a commercial gas system has been discovered....it also proves that there are hydrocarbons all over the place in the eastern-southern basin......oil is possibly not far away and might be discovered with Scotia....this company is just valued at 200 million with perhaps a multi-trillion cubic feet gas discovery under its belt and loads of further potential discoveries oil or gas.....market's reaction this morning was wrong and I rightly topped up.....this is my main share and am proud to be in for the foreseeable future.

mcgrath1958 - 17 Sep 2012 08:42 - 1935 of 2393

This isn't a bad result actually , wasn't a Duster like some wanted! Shows the massive Potential of this massive block, which has been already mentioned! As the next drill bears down , watch this rocket!

carsie68 - 17 Sep 2012 08:43 - 1936 of 2393

Result proves hydrocarbons present but surely shale gas will be exploited in Europe nearer markets and at less cost than the infrastructure needed to develop a gas find offshore Falklands. But the price seems a buy.

required field - 17 Sep 2012 08:44 - 1937 of 2393

Hydrocarbons all over the place.....and a lot more to be discovered it seems....undervalued by 100% in my view !....

markymar - 17 Sep 2012 08:48 - 1938 of 2393

Not much meat on the bones of the RNS but one thing for sure it looks a monster of a gas find

With BOR finding gas also FOGL in huge quantities this opens up the SFB as a commercial area without doubt.

This is one of the reason FOGL has attracted the partners it has which have the knowledge and money to move this project on.
